2012 Holland Heineken House
The 2012 Holland Heineken House was the Dutch meeting place for supporters, athletes and other followers during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, organized by Heineken and NOC*NSF. It was the 11th edition of the Holland Heineken House since 1982. The 2012 House opened its doors on the day of the opening ceremony on 27 July 2012 and closed on the day of the closing ceremony, 12 August 2012. Due to the expected numbers of visitors, tickets were sold in advance. With about six thousand visitors per day, over hundred thousand visitors the venue during the Games. The layout The 2012 Holland Heineken House had various shops, restaurants, reception rooms for sponsors and athletes, media facilities and a NOC*NSF information desk. The men's 100 kg competition in judo at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom, took place at ExCeL London between 28 July and 2 August. The gold and silver medals were determined by a single-elimination tournament, with the winner of the final taking gold and the loser receiving silver. Judo events awarded two bronze medals. Maarten Johannes Arens (born 20 May 1972 in Diemen, North Holland) is a Dutch judoka. European Champion 1995 in Birmingham in the 86 kg categorie, 4 times Dutch champion, Winner Tournoi de Paris in 2000 in the 81 kg category. At the Sydney Olympics partial 9th place in 81 kg category. He was a member of Judo club Hans Meester Hoorn till 1992. The rowing competitions at the 2012 Olympic Games in London were held from 28 July to 4 August 2012, at Dorney Lake which, for the purposes of the Games venue, was officially termed Eton Dorney. Fourteen medal events were contested by 550 athletes, 353 men and 197 women. Great Britain was the most successful nation, topping the medal table with four golds and nine in total. Nienke Kingma (; born 12 February 1982 in Driebergen) is a rower from the Netherlands. Kingma took part in the World Championships of 2006 in the fours finishing fifth in Eton. A year later at the World Championships in Munich she was part of the double sculls and became 9th.
