2012 Gold Coast Titans Season
The 2012 Gold Coast Titans season was the 6th in Gold Coast Titans, the club's history. Coached by John Cartwright (rugby league), John Cartwright and captained by Scott Prince they competed in the National Rugby League's 2012 NRL season, 2012 Telstra Premiership. They finished the regular season 11th (out of 16), failing to make the finals for the second consecutive year. Nate Myles was named the club's player of the year. Season summary After their worst ever season which ended in their winning the wooden spoon (award), wooden spoon in 2011, the Titans underwent significant player turnover, which included the signings of Nate Myles, Phil Graham (rugby league), Phil Graham and Jamal Idris amongst others. 2012 NRL Season
The 2012 NRL season was the 105th season of professional rugby league club competition in Australia, and the first run by the newly formed Australian Rugby League Commission. The main competition, called the 2012 NRL Telstra Premiership due to sponsorship from Telstra Corporation was contested by the sixteen teams of the National Rugby League. The season started with the 2012 NRL All Stars match and culminated in the 2012 NRL grand final. The 2012 Toyota Cup season also took place alongside the Premiership. The McIntyre Final Eight System, in use since 1999, was replaced with the finals system previously used by the ARL in the 1990s. The 2012 Premiership was won by the Melbourne Storm, officially the club's second following the removal of their 2007 and 2009 premierships, among other titles, due to salary cap breaches exposed in April 2010. Jordan Rankin
Jordan Rankin (born 17 December 1991) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Parramatta Eels in the NRL. He previously played for the Gold Coast Titans and the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League, and Hull F.C. and the Huddersfield Giants in the Super League. Sydney Roosters
The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. Mat Rogers
Mathew Steve Rogers (born 1 February 1976) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. He also played rugby union at the highest level, becoming a dual-code international. The son of the late Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks legend and chief executive officer Steve Rogers, Mat played for the Sharks as well. Anthony Laffranchi (born 16 November 1980) is a former professional rugby league footballer. Luke O'Dwyer
Luke O'Dwyer (born 30 January 1983) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Gold Coast Titans and Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League competition. A utility player, O'Dwyer played at centre, five-eighth, second row and lock at different times during his career. Playing career Raised in the southern Gold Coast town of Tweed Heads, O'Dwyer played his junior football for the Tweed Heads Seagulls. Luke Bailey (rugby League)
Luke Bailey (born 5 January 1980) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s.
