2012 German Masters
The 2012 German Masters (officially the 2012 PartyPoker.net German Masters) was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 1–5 February 2012 at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany. This was the first time that PartyPoker.net sponsored the event. Mike Dunn made the 79th official maximum break during his round 1 qualifying match against Kurt Maflin. This was Dunn's first 147 break. Stephen Hendry missed the final stage of a ranking event for the first time in 15 years after losing 1–5 to James Wattana in the final qualifying round. Mark Williams was the defending champion, but he lost in the quarter-finals 3–5 against Stephen Lee. Ronnie O'Sullivan won his 23rd ranking title by defeating Stephen Maguire 9–7 in the final. Stephen Hendry
Stephen Gordon Hendry (born 13 January 1969) is a Scottish professional snooker player who dominated the sport during the 1990s, becoming one of the most successful players in its history. After turning professional in 1985 at age 16, Hendry rose rapidly through the snooker world rankings, reaching number four in the world by the end of his third professional season. He won his first World Snooker Championship in 1990 aged 21 years and 106 days, superseding Alex Higgins as the sport's youngest world champion, a record he still holds. From 1990 to 1999, he won seven world titles, setting a modern-era record that stood outright until Ronnie O'Sullivan equalled it in 2022. Chris Norbury
Christopher Norbury (born 14 August 1986) is an English former professional snooker player. He began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003, at the time the second-level professional tour. Norbury first entered Main Tour for the 2005–06 season, after finishing the 2004/05 Challenge Tour Rankings on the rank 5. He played in the latter stages of the Paul Hunter Classic in both 2008 and 2009, losing in the first round to Shaun Murphy 4–1 in 2008, and losing to Dave Harold 4–2 in 2009. Yu Delu
Yu Delu (; born 11 October 1987) is a former professional snooker player from the People's Republic of China. He is currently serving a 10 years and 9 months ban for match-fixing from 25 May 2018 until 24 February 2029. The ban was announced on 1 December 2018 after the result of a lengthy investigation. Career Early career Yu made his first appearance at the China Open as a wild card in 2006. He defeated Andrew Norman, before losing to Graeme Dott in the last 32. He was awarded a wild card for every China Open event between 2006 and 2011, and for the first three Shanghai Masters events in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He recorded a maximum break during a China Snooker Professional Tour event in ZhengZhou against Jin Long on 20 September 2009. Adrian Gunnell
Adrian Gunnell (born 24 August 1972) is an English former professional snooker player from Telford. He has reached the last-16 in four world ranking events (three in Asia, in three different seasons, and at the 2008 Grand Prix), but has yet to progress beyond that stage. He has yet to qualify for the final stages of the World Championship. While practising in 2003 he pulled off the remarkable feat of compiling three 147 breaks in 4 frames, the only player to do so. He has not been able to bring that kind of form to the tournaments, but he has compiled a 147 in tournament play. He is noted for taking a long time to play safety shots. Patrick Einsle
Patrick Einsle (born 22 April 1987 in Füssen, Bavaria) is a former German professional snooker player. Career Early years In 1998, at the age of 11, Einsle began to play snooker. He made his first century break at the age of 14. He participated at the 2005 World Games in snooker, but failed in the first round 1–3 to the eventual gold medallist Gerard Greene. At the 2006 Fürth German Open Einsle won against Fergal O'Brien and Stephen Lee and lost only 2–3 in the quarter-finals to the eventual finalist Barry Hawkins. 2006/2007 season Einsle turned professional in 2006–07, after receiving a Main Tour wildcard from the WPBSA following the withdrawal of Paul Hunter. Ken Doherty
Ken Doherty (born 17 September 1969) is an Irish professional snooker player, commentator and radio presenter. As an amateur, Doherty won the Irish Amateur Championship twice, the World Under-21 Amateur Championship and the World Amateur Championship. Since turning professional in 1990, Doherty has won six ranking tournaments, including the 1997 World Snooker Championship in which he defeated Stephen Hendry, inflicting Hendry's first loss in a world final. He came very close to breaking the Crucible curse, reaching the 1998 final where he lost out to John Higgins. He reached a third final in 2003, in which he was defeated by Mark Williams.
