2012 Euro Beach Soccer Cup
The 2012 Euro Beach Soccer Cup was held in Moscow. The venue was the Luzhniki Palace of Sports in the Russian capital of Moscow. Eight teams with better results in 2011 come together for this competition, with a one-round knock-out system that took place between February 17–19. Just like in the 2005 Euro Beach Soccer Cup, the Euro Beach Soccer Cup was hosted in Russia, and the Muscovite climate at that time of the year meant the tournament was held indoors. Aleksey Makarov
Aleksey Sergeyevich Makarov (russian: Алексей Сергеевич Макаров; born 20 August 1987) is a Russian beach soccer player currently active as a forward. Career Makarov began his professional beach soccer team in the FC Strogino club. For a short period he played for FC Delta Saratov in 2010, but then switched to Lokomotive Moscow where he has been playing since 2010. His first coach was Aleksey Grishin. Makarov debuted for the national team in the qualifying rounds of the 2007 Euro Beach Soccer League. Makarov played for Lokomotive from 2010 to 2018. He switched to Spartak Moscow in 2018. On his debut game within the new club at the Moscow Indoor Championships on 4 March 2018 Makarov also shot his first goal against Strogino. Egor Mikhailovich Shaykov (russian: Егор Михайлович Шайков; born 23 June 1980) is a former Russian association football and beach soccer player who was active as forward. Shaykov started his career in association football, his best results coming from the period where he played for FC Arsenal Tula. Since 2005, he played for beach soccer teams, his best results coming for BSC Lokomotiv Moscow, where he played from 2010 until his retirement in 2018. He is Merited Master of Sports of Russia. The 2014 Euro Beach Soccer Cup was the fourteenth edition of the ''Euro Beach Soccer Cup'', one of Europe's main, regular international beach soccer championships organised every two years by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), held in August 2014, in Baku, Azerbaijan.
