The 2012 Eastern Kentucky Colonels football team represented Eastern Kentucky University during the 2012 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by fifth-year head coach Dean Hood and played their home games at Roy Kidd Stadium. They were a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). Eastern Kentucky had an overall record of 8–3 with a 6–2 mark in OVC play to finish in a tie for second place. Dean Hood
Dean Scott Hood (born November 15, 1963) is the head coach of the Murray State Racers football team. The former head football coach at Eastern Kentucky University, Hood was hired by EKU in January 2008 to replace former head coach Danny Hope after he left for Purdue University following the 2007 season. The 2008 season ended successfully for Hood as he led the Colonels to the 2008 Ohio Valley Conference football title. Coaching career Hood was the defensive coordinator at Wake Forest University from 2001 to 2007, winning the ACC Championship in 2006 by beating Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship Game. In that 2006 season, Hood's defense was ranked second in the conference in scoring defense (14.7/game) and led the league in interceptions with 22. Wake Forest went on to accept their first, and only, BCS Bowl bid to play Louisville in the Orange Bowl. Graham Stadium
Hardy M. Graham Stadium is a 7,500-seat multi-purpose stadium in Martin, Tennessee. It is home to the University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawks football team. The facility opened in 1964. It is located north of Tennessee State Route 431 (University Street, formerly Highway 22) from the central campus area, adjacent to the Agricultural Experiment Station. Namesake of the stadium The stadium is named in honor of Hardy M. Graham, a long-time supporter on UT Martin, who has contributed over $1 million to the university. Houck Stadium
Houck Stadium is an 11,015-seat multi-purpose stadium in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. It opened in 1930 and was named after famous Missouri resident Louis Houck. Today it is home to the Southeast Missouri State University Redhawks football team and women's soccer team. The stadium used to be open on both the east and west side. Today, it is open only on the east side. On the west end of the stadium, where KRCU once stood, is a brand new, 5-story residence hall for Southeast students, with some of the rooms looking out over the stadium. Stadium College Sports (formerly Fox College Sports) is a group of three American sports networks. Owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group and Entertainment Studios (under the joint venture Diamond Sports Group), the three channels air college and high school sporting events and programming. The channel is divided into three feeds—Atlantic, Central, and Pacific. Despite their names, the feeds no longer correspond to specific regions. The 2012 Eastern Illinois Panthers football team represented Eastern Illinois University as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) during the 2012 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by first-year head coach Dino Babers, the Panthers compiled an overall record of 7–5 overall with a mark of 6–1 in conference play, winning the OVC title. Tucker Stadium
Tucker Stadium is a 16,500-seat multi-purpose stadium in Cookeville, Tennessee. It is home to the Tennessee Technological University Golden Eagles team, and is named for former coach Wilburn Tucker (1920–1980). The football field is named Overall Field in honor of former coach and administrator P. V. Overall. The stadium opened in 1966 and currently seats 16,500. Tucker Stadium has hosted the TSSAA high school football state championships since 2009. History Renovations In 2007, Tucker Stadium received upgrades to its playing field with the installation of artificial turf, as well as renovations and a new surface to the nine-lane track.
