2012 DEKALB Superspiel
The 2012 DEKALB Superspiel was held from November 22 to 25 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Manitoba as part of the 2012–13 World Curling Tour. The event was held in a triple knockout format. The purse for the men's event was CAD$30,000, of which the winner, William Lyburn, received CAD$10,000, while the purse for the women's event was CAD$24,000, of which the winner, Darcy Robertson, received CAD$8,000. Morris, Manitoba
Morris is a small town in the Pembina Valley region of Manitoba, Canada, located 51 km south of Winnipeg and 42 km north of Emerson. Morris is home to 1,885 people (2016). Scott Bitz (born October 29, 1973) is a Canadian curler from Grand Coulee, Saskatchewan. He is a two-time provincial champion. Career Bitz was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. In 1992, Bitz won the junior provincial championship, giving him the right to represent Saskatchewan at the 1992 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. His team of Jeff Tait, Pat Simmons and Greg Burrows finished the round robin with a 6–5 record. They won their first tiebreaker match against Ontario, but lost their second to Prince Edward Island. Ten years later, Bitz won his first provincial championship. This allowed Bitz to curl in his first Brier. Andrew Peck (born 3 July 1973, in New Zealand) is a New Zealand kickboxer. He is the 2010 WMC Super Heavyweight Intercontinental Champion. Biography Originally from Auckland, New Zealand Andrew Peck began training Muaythai at the age of 18. One year later, he added karate to his strengths. Peck moved to Japan to live and train. He worked his way through the amateur ranks of kickboxing and karate until his impressive professional debut in 2000 when he won the K-1 New Zealand Grand Prix by three first-round knockouts.
