The 2012 All-Big Ten Conference football team consists of American football players chosen as All-Big Ten Conference players for the 2012 Big Ten Conference football season. The conference recognizes two official All-Big Ten selectors: (1) the Big Ten conference coaches selected separate offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Coaches" team); and (2) a panel of sports writers and broadcasters covering the Big Ten also selected offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Media" team). Matt Stankiewitch
Matt Stankiewitch (born February 8, 1990) is a former American football center. He played college football for Penn State from 2008 to 2012. Recruiting Stankiewitch graduated from Blue Mountain High School in Pennsylvania in 2008. Stankiewitch was a 2 time all-state football player after his junior and senior seasons. He started at left guard in the Under Armour All-America Game and started at center in the Big 33 Football Classic where he was the Pennsylvania team captain in the game. College football career At Penn State, Stankiewitch redshirted in 2008 before starting two games at left guard in 2009. Kyle T. Carter (born December 17, 1992) is a former American football tight end. He played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Early years Carter was born in New Castle, Delaware to Mitchell and Charlene Carter. He attended William Penn High School where he played for Bill Cole. Hugh Thornton (born June 28, 1991) is a professional gridiron football offensive tackle for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Illinois, and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. John Cameron Urschel (born June 24, 1991) is a Canadian-American mathematician, former professional American football guard and center and chess player.
