Yeovil Town F
Yeovil ( ) is a town and civil parish in the district of South Somerset, England. The population of Yeovil at the last census (2011) was 45,784. More recent estimates show a population of 48,564. It is close to Somerset's southern border with Dorset, from London, south of Bristol, from Sherborne and from Taunton. The aircraft and defence industries which developed in the 20th century made it a target for bombing in the Second World War; they are still major employers. Yeovil Country Park, which includes Ninesprings, is one of several open spaces with educational, cultural and sporting facilities. Religious sites include the 14th-century Church of St John the Baptist. The town is on the A30 and A37 roads and has two railway stations. Stefan Stam (born 14 September 1979) is a former Dutch footballer who played as a centre back. His previous clubs include AZ, PSV, Eindhoven, AFC, Oldham Athletic, Yeovil Town, Hereford United, FC Den Bosch and Katwijk. Life and career Stam was born in Amersfoort. He played for VV Grasshoppers of Hoogwoud before playing for the youth teams of both AZ and PSV. He made his professional debut for Eindhoven and spent two seasons playing for the club in the Eerste Divisie. He moved to England in 2003, signing for Oldham Athletic after a successful trial. He scored one goal in 97 league appearances for Oldham, in a 2–1 win against Rotherham United in September 2006. William Michael Hubert Gibson (born 30 September 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder most recently for National League South club Wealdstone in the 2016–17 season. Career Watford Gibson began a two-year academy scholarship with Watford in summer 2007. In 2007–08 he made 26 appearances for the under 18s, all of which were starts and making him the highest appearance maker for the Academy that season. He also scored three goals. Kieran Ricardo Agard (born 10 October 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for League Two club Doncaster Rovers. Early life Agard was born in Newham in London. He attended Lister Community School. Club career Everton Agard started in the Arsenal academy before moving to Everton's academy in the 2005–06 season. Gavin John Williams (born 20 July 1980 in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan) is a Welsh former international footballer who was most recently the manager of Merthyr Town. Adam John Virgo (born 25 January 1983) is a former professional footballer, who now works as a pundit and commentator. Playing career Early career From the age of seven Virgo played for the St. Aubyns Preparatory School football team. At 13 he was awarded a sports scholarship to Ardingly College.
