2011–12 Stanbic Bank 20 Series
The 2011–12 Stanbic Bank 20 Series was a Twenty20 cricket competition held in Zimbabwe from 25 November – 4 December 2011. It was the third edition of the Stanbic Bank 20 Series, the premier Twenty20 cricket competition in Zimbabwe. It was won by Mountaineers who defeated Mashonaland Eagles by 27 runs in a thrilling final, in which they defended 142 and dismissed the Eagles for 115 mostly due to the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, Shingirai Masakadza. Mountaineers were particularly strong throughout the tournament, and played some high standard of cricket, that saw them first finish top of the group with 3 wins of 4 matches, then overhaul the heavily favored Matabeleland Tuskers in the 1st Semi at Harare. Zimbabwe Cricket
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. It also organises domestic cricket, including the Castle Logan Cup, the Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship and the Stanbic Bank 20 Series in Zimbabwe. Dirk Nannes
Dirk Peter Nannes (born 16 May 1976) is an Australian-Dutch cricket commentator and former cricketer who has played internationally for both Australia and the Netherlands, one of the few players to represent multiple international teams. From Melbourne, Nannes was a freestyle skier before beginning his cricket career, and competed in mogul events at two FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cups. Langton Rusere (born 7 July 1985) is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire (cricket), umpire. He stood in his first Twenty20 International match between Indian cricket team in Zimbabwe in 2015, Zimbabwe and India on 19 July 2015. He stood in his first One Day International match between Afghan cricket team in Zimbabwe in 2015–16, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan on 24 October 2015. Harare Sports Club
Harare Sports Club is a sports club and the Harare Sports Club Ground is a cricket stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe. Founded in 1900 and known as Salisbury Sports Club until 1982, it is mostly used for cricket matches, and has served as the primary cricket venue in Rhodesia and Zimbabwe since its foundation. Hamilton Masakadza
Hamilton Masakadza (born 9 August 1983) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer, who played all formats of the game for Zimbabwe. He captained the national team during 2016 ICC World T20, but was relieved of his duties due to an indifferent performance by the team during the tournament, where they failed to get past the qualifying round . In February 2019, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed that Masakadza would captain the national side across all three formats for the 2019–20 season. He was a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium-pace bowler. Prosper Utseya
Prosper Utseya (born 26 March 1985 in Harare, Zimbabwe) is a Zimbabwean cricketer, who plays all formats of the game. He was the former captain of Zimbabwe from 2006 to 2010. He bowls right-arm off break and is a useful right-hand batsman. Utseya has not played any form of cricket since 2015. Charles Coventry (Zimbabwean Cricketer)
Charles Kevin Coventry Jr. (born 8 March 1983) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional wicket-keeper. He previously shared the record, with Saeed Anwar, of the highest individual score in a One Day International, 194 not out. This was surpassed by Sachin Tendulkar's 200 on 24 February 2010. Ozias Bvute
Ozias Bvute is the managing director and chief executive of Zimbabwe Cricket. He replaced Vincent Hogg as chief executive in 2005. Hogg's departure came against the background of the player standoffs, with the senior and mostly white players taking the board to task over issues of administration. Joining the organization at a tumultuous time, Bvute's overriding mandate would be to integrate cricket into a truly national sport. 2011 Champions League Twenty20
The 2011 Champions League Twenty20 was the third edition of the Champions League Twenty20, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament. It was held in India from 19 September to 9 October 2011. It was the first edition after Nokia replaced Bharti Airtel as the tournament's title sponsor. The defending champions were the Chennai Super Kings. The Mumbai Indians emerged the winners of the tournament, defeating the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final. 2011 Indian Premier League
The 2011 Indian Premier League season, abbreviated as IPL 4 or the IPL 2011, was the fourth season of the Indian Premier League, the top Twenty20 cricket league in India. The tournament was hosted in India and the opening and closing ceremonies were held in M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, the home venue of the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings. Royal Challengers Bangalore (often abbreviated as RCB) are a franchise cricket team based in Bangalore, Karnataka, that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Jason Gillespie
Jason Neil Gillespie (born 19 April 1975) is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer who played all three formats of the game. A right-arm fast bowler, he was also a competent lower-order batsman whose unbeaten 201 in his last Test match is the highest score by a night-watchman in international cricket. Gillespie made his One Day International debut against Sri Lanka at Colombo in the Singer World Series in August 1996, and his Test debut against the West Indies at Sydney in November 1996.
