2011–12 Russian Cup
The 2011–12 Russian Cup, known as the 2011–12 Pirelli–Russian Football Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the twentieth season of the Russian football knockout tournament since the dissolution of Soviet Union. The competition started on April 20, 2011 and finished with the final held in May 2012. The cup champion wins a spot in the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League group stage. FC Rubin Kazan (russian: Футбо́льный клуб Руби́н Каза́нь, ''Futbolny klub Rubin Kazan'' , Tatar language, Tatar: Рубин Казан) is a Russian professional association football, football club based in the city of Kazan. FC Amur-2010 Blagoveshchensk (russian: ФК «Амур-2010» Благовещенск ) was a Russian football club from Blagoveshchensk, founded in 2010 and dissolved in 2014. Its predecessor, FC Amur Blagoveshchensk, played on the second-highest level (Soviet First League and Russian First Division) in 1960-1962, 1992 and 2005. In 1997-2001 the team was called FC Amur-Energiya. On September 17, 2009 FC Amur was excluded from the Russian Second Division for not coming to two away games. At the time it was 9th in the table with 12 points in 20 games. The club was officially dissolved. In 2010, a new club called FC Amur-2010, independent from the old bankrupt one, was established. FC Spartak Tambov (russian: ФК «Спартак» Тамбов) is a Russian association football club from Tambov, firstly founded in 1960. It most often played in the Russian Second League. It played on the second-highest level of the Soviet First League from 1960 to 1962. In 1972-1979 the team was called Revtrud Tambov. In 2014 it was dissolved due to bankruptcy. It has played professionally in 1937, 1949, 1953 to 1956, 1958 to 1999, 2004 to 2017, and from 2020. In 1992–1995, the club was called Trion-Volga Tver. Znamya Truda is a Russian football club from Orekhovo-Zuevo, Moscow Oblast. The club is most noted because they are the oldest now-playing club in Russia, founded in 1909. They currently play in the FNL 2. The club's finest hour came in 1962 when they reached the final of the USSR Cup. History The club was founded in the village of Orekhovo which was to join with Zuevo and Nikolskoye to form Orekhovo-Zuyevo in 1917. In the 2017–18 season, Znamya Truda finished last in its group, losing 24 matches out of 26.
