2011–12 Nottingham Forest F.C. Season
The 2011–12 season will be Nottingham Forest Football Club's 4th consecutive season in the Championship. Nottingham Forest's expectations were to once again seek promotion from the Championship. However, the season was spent in a relegation battle which they survived meaning they will once again compete in the Championship. Forest also competed in the FA Cup and the League Cup, being knocked out in the third round of both. Nottingham ( , locally ) is a city and unitary authority area in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, England. It is located north-west of London, south-east of Sheffield and north-east of Birmingham. Nottingham has links to the legend of Robin Hood and to the lace-making, bicycle and tobacco industries. Billy Davies
William McIntosh Davies (born 31 May 1964) is a Scottish former professional footballer and manager. He won the 2007 Play-offs with Derby County, finished as runners-up in 2005 with Preston North End, and reached the semi-finals in 2006 (Preston), 2010 and 2011 (both with Nottingham Forest). Playing career As a schoolboy, Davies was associated with Manchester United and he was offered a contract by then manager Dave Sexton. Davies started his professional playing career at the Scottish club Rangers. He made his debut aged against Brechin City on 23 September 1981, but rarely featured for the first team in his six years at Ibrox. He then had spells with Swedish teams Jönköping and Elfsborg. Nathan Tyson
Nathan Tyson (born 4 May 1982) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Grantham Town. He represented the England under-20 team in February 2003. A pacey, left-footed forward, he began his career at Reading, where he made his first-team debut in April 2000. He had loan spells at Maidenhead United, Swansea City, Cheltenham Town, and Wycombe Wanderers, before he joined Wycombe Wanderers on a permanent transfer in March 2004. Kelvin Wilson
Kelvin James Wilson (born 3 September 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Ilkeston Town. He started his career with Notts County, before moving to Preston North End in 2006. Nottingham Forest signed him one year later for £300,000. He moved to Celtic in 2011 on a free transfer. On 9 August 2013, Wilson re-signed for Nottingham Forest for a fee of £2.5 million. Bamberdele Olusegun Adebola (born 23 June 1975) is a Nigerian retired footballer. Including loans, he has played for 16 clubs in his career, with his longest spells at Crewe Alexandra, Birmingham City and Coventry City. Chris Fairclough
Courtney Huw Fairclough (born 12 April 1964) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a defender from 1981 to 2001. He most notably played for Nottingham Forest and Leeds United. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur, Bolton Wanderers, Notts County and York City. He was capped 7 times by the England U21 side. His time spent with both Leeds and Bolton saw him appear as a Premier League player. He later became a coach and was the assistant manager back with Nottingham Forest in 2011, before later taking up a role as youth team coach for Charlton Athletic. Julian Timothy Darby (born 3 October 1967) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is the under-16's coach of Bolton Wanderers. As a player he was a defender and midfielder from 1986 until 2001, notably in the Premier League for Coventry City and prior to that a large stint with Bolton Wanderers. He also played in the Football League for West Bromwich Albion, Preston North End, Rotherham United and Carlisle United. David Kelly (association Footballer)
David Thomas Kelly (born 25 November 1965), also known by the nickname Ned Kelly, is a former Republic of Ireland international footballer and football coach. He scored nine goals in 26 international games for the Republic of Ireland, and was a squad member for UEFA Euro 1988, the 1990 FIFA World Cup, and the 1994 FIFA World Cup. A forward, he scored a total of 250 goals in 744 league and cup appearances in a 19-year career in professional football. As a child, Kelly suffered from Legg–Calvé–Perthes disease, but recovered to win a move from non-league Alvechurch and turn professional at Walsall in 1983.
