The Melbourne Victory 2011–12 season is Melbourne Victory's seventh season in the Hyundai A-League, the highest level association football league in Australia. Season summary On 27 May 2011, erratic Costa Rican Marvin Angulo was axed by Melbourne Victory just weeks after his loan deal appeared set to be extended, while goalkeeper Michael Petkovic announced his retirement. Thai defender Surat Sukha left to join Buriram PEA after he was released by the Victory on compassionate grounds. It was also announced on 16 June 2011 that Adidas had signed a five-year deal as the club's official kit manufacturer. Melbourne Victory Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Melbourne, Victoria. Competing in the country's premier men's competition, the A-League Men, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL), Victory entered the competition in the inaugural season as the only Victorian-based club in the newly revamped domestic Australian league. Julius Doe Davies (born 30 September 1994) is a Sierra Leonean-Australian Association football, football (soccer) player who last played for Melbourne Knights FC in the NPL Victoria. Career Club career Whilst in Australia he played for Swan IC Football Club Julius started his football career. In 2006 he moved to Inglewood where he definitely made a huge step forward towards a professional career. Mark Milligan
Mark Daniel Milligan (born 4 August 1985) is an Australian former professional footballer. Starting his career as a defender, Milligan has spent much of his later career playing as a midfielder. Ante Covic (born 13 June 1975) is an Australian former soccer goalkeeper. Harry Kewell (born 22 September 1978) is an Australian association football coach, manager and former player.
