2011–12 Kuwaiti Premier League
The 2011–12 Kuwaiti Premier League season was the 50th since its establishment. The season started on 30 December with the regular league season finishing on 1 June. A relegation play-off match was needed to end the campaign on the 5 and 8 June. Teams Al Sahel were relegated to the Kuwaiti Division One league after finishing bottom in the 2010–11 season. They were replaced by Al Shabab, back in the top flight for the first time since relegation in the 2008–09 campaign. Kuwaiti Premier League
The Kuwait Premier League (), known as STC Premier League due to sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Kuwait football pyramid system. Formed in 1961, Al-Arabi, Qadsia and Kuwait both hold the best record in the competition, having won 17 times. History The Kuwaiti league officially began in the 1961/62 season, after playing unofficially for eight years (played with group of clubs: "Ahli - Al Jazeera - Arabism - Gulf - Solidarity - Al-Qubali, Al-Nahda, Al-Sharqai, Al-Merqab, Al-Mawalim and Al-Taawon). Al Farwaniyah Governorate
Farwaniya Governorate ( ar, محافظة الفروانية Muḥāfaẓat al-Farwānīyah) is the most populous of the six governorates of Kuwait, in terms of a total number of residents. Al Jahra Sporting Club ( ar, نادي الجهراء الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti professional football club based in Jahra. They won the Kuwaiti Premier League once, in 1990. They participated in the Kuwaiti Premier League 21 times, most recently in the 2007–2008 season. Al-Salmiya Sporting Club ( ar, نادي السالمية الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti professional football and sports club in Salmiya. They have won the Kuwaiti Premier League four times, most recently in 2000. Al-Sadaqua Walsalam Stadium
The Al-Sadaqua Walsalam Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Adiliya Kuwait City, Kuwait. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. The stadium holds 21,500. It is the 2nd largest stadium in Kuwait. The Stadium hosted many finals for the Kuwait Emir Cup and Kuwait Crown Cup. Kazma Sporting Club ( ar, نادي كاظمة الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti professional association football club. Founded in 1964, the club competes in the Kuwaiti Premier League. Club history Naming The club is named after the area of Kathma.
