Liga 1 ( en, League 1), also known as BRI Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons with Bank Rakyat Indonesia, is the men's top professional football division of the Indonesian football league system. Administered by the PT Liga Indonesia Baru (), Liga 1 is contested by 18 clubs and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Liga 2. Top-flight professional league in Indonesia started from the 2008–09 season onwards, initially under the name of Indonesia Super League until 2015. Prior to the 2008 reforms, the national competitions used a tournament format. Liga 1, which started in 2017, is the latest rebranding of the league. Cristian Gérard Alfaro Gonzáles (born 30 August 1976, also known as Mustafa Habibi) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Liga 2 club PSIM Yogyakarta. Herman Dzumafo Epandi (born 21 February 1980) is a is a Cameroonian-born Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Liga 2 club Persela Lamongan. Club career PSPS Pekanbaru He moved abroad and joined PSPS Pekanbaru in 2007 and quickly became the key player for PSPS Pekanbaru until 2012 when he decided to join Arema Indonesia (ISL).
