The 2011–12 season in Hong Kong football, starting in July 2011 and ending in June 2012. The season began on 3 September 2011 for the First Division League and the Second Division League, on 17 September 2011 for the Third A Division League and 25 September 2011 for the Third District Division League. The Third District Division League ended on 15 March 2012 and the Third A Division League ended on 25 March 2012. The top two teams of Third A Division League and the Third A Division League were qualified for the Third Division League Final Round. The Final Round started on 1 April 2012 and ended on 15 April 2012. The Second Division League ended on 15 April 2012 and the First Division League ended on 20 May 2012. Hong Kong Third Division League is the fourth-highest division overall in the Hong Kong football league system under the organization of Hong Kong Football Association. Starting with the 2012–13 season, the two divisions of Hong Kong Third Division League were merged into one. Teams of Third Division League in the 2012–13 team were the 2 final round losing team and the 3rd to 10th placed teams of Hong Kong Third A Division League, along with the 3rd and 4th placed teams of Hong Kong Third District Division League. Hong Kong Junior Shield () was a football competition in Hong Kong established in 1922. All teams in the Second Division and the Third Division were included in the competition. South China was the most successful club, winning 9 titles. History Hong Kong Junior Challenge Shield was founded by the Hong Kong Football Association in 1922. Hong Kong Football Association League Cup () is an annual football competition contested by clubs in the top-tier Hong Kong domestic football league (currently Hong Kong Premier League). The cup was relaunched for the 2014–15 season after being discontinued in the 2012–13 season. Hong Kong Pegasus FC () are a Hong Kong football club based in Yuen Long. Founded in 2008, the club currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. History TSW Pegasus was established in June 2008, and they had their first season in 2008–09 Hong Kong First Division League with a budget of about HKD$10,000,000. On 21 December 2008, Pegasus won their first trophy, defeating Sun Hei in the 2008 Senior Shield Final. In July 2012, the club was renamed as Sun Pegasus following introduction of a new sponsor. Hong Kong FA Cup () is a knockout cup competition in Hong Kong football, run by and named after The Hong Kong Football Association. The first edition of the competition was held in 1975, before then the cup was known as the Golden Jubilee Cup. The current season is the 45th edition of the event. 14 different teams have won the cup with 10-time champions South China being the most successful. In the first three years, the semi-finals and the finals were two-legged events. If the aggregate result was drawn, there would be extra time after the second leg.
