2011–12 Football League 2 (Greece)
The 2011–12 Football League 2 was the 29th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It is scheduled to start on 27 November 2011. 23 teams are separated into two groups, 11 in Group 1 (South) and 12 in Group 2 (North) according to geographical criteria. Gamma Ethniki
The Gamma Ethniki (, C National Division) is the Greek football league system, third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. Although not literally national (it is divided into ''North'' and ''South'' groups), Football League 2 is considered as a national division. On 3 August 2010, it was announced that the division had been renamed ''Football League 2''. From season 2013–14, the football League 2 was merged with the Delta Ethniki, fourth division championship (Delta Ethniki) and renamed Gamma Ethniki once more. Relegation Play-off
Promotion and relegation is used by sports leagues as a process where teams can move up and down among divisions in a league system, based on their performance over a season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are sometimes called open leagues. The 2012–13 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the third season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. The 2010–11 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the first season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. Its regular season began on 12 September 2010 and ended on 15 May 2011; the promotion play-offs, originally scheduled to take place immediately afterwards, were postponed to late July 2011 in wake of the Koriopolis scandal. Teams A total of three teams gained promotion to the 2010–11 Super League after the 2009–10 Beta Ethniki season. Champions Olympiacos Volos and runners-up Kerkyra were directly promoted, while the remaining spot was taken by promotion play-off group winners Panserraikos. The three promoted teams were replaced by Levadiakos, PAS Giannina and Panthrakikos, who finished in the bottom three places of the 2009–10 Super League. Zakynthos (city)
Zakynthos ( ) or Zante (), is a city and a former municipality on the island of Zakynthos, Ionian Islands (region), Ionian Islands, Greece. Gergeri () is the seat of Rouvas municipal unit in Heraklion regional unit in the Greek island of Crete. The population was 1,345 in 2021. Gergeri's location is at a region called "Pano Riza" of Psiloreiti's, and in that region there are also the villages Panasos, Nivritos, Zaros, Vorizia and Kamares.
