The 2011–12 Belgian Elite League is a competition between eight Belgian rugby teams. It started on 17 September 2011 and ended with a final game on 12 May 2012 at the King Baudouin Stadium. Dendermondse Rugby Club
Dendermonde RC is a Belgium, Belgian rugby union club currently competing in Belgian Elite League. The club is based in Dendermonde in the Flemish Province of East Flanders. They are currently the only team from Flanders in the top flight. The official colours of the club are green and yellow. History The club was founded in 1962 under the name of SOS Rugby Sint-Gillis. The club's first game was against ASUB Waterloo, ASUB, resulting in a 13-20 loss. Developing a strong youth following, the turn of the 1990s saw the club push on with the construction of its own complex in the Van Langenhovestraat region. and won its first Belgian League Title in 2012 having previously won the 2nd Division title twice in 1970 and 2010. The Royal Kituro Avia Schaerbeek Rugby Club, often shortened Kituro RC, is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in the Belgian Elite League. On 8th February 2015, they beat RC Soignies 356-3, breaking the all-time record for the highest scoring game in Rugby union history. The club is based in Schaerbeek, a suburb to Brussels. The official colours of the club are green and black. The Kituro is a 50-year-old rugby club; one of the most successful and best known in Belgium with more than 560 players from U7 to U19, Seniors, Veterans, Ladies and a Touch Team. 2012–13 Belgian Elite League
The 2012–13 Belgian Elite League was the 76th season of the Belgian Elite League, the top flight men's rugby union league in Belgium. The season saw the return of the Liegeois rugby club Coq Mosan, who were relegated to 2nd division after the 2010-2011 season. They managed to evade relegation by beating the rugby club BUC from Evere, who were relegated instead. The Championship was claimed by ASUB Rugby Waterloo who won their first Championship title since 1998. King Baudouin Stadium
The King Baudouin Stadium (french: Stade Roi Baudouin , nl, Koning Boudewijnstadion ) is a sports ground in north-west Brussels, Belgium. Located in the Heysel district of the City of Brussels, it was built to embellish the Heysel Plateau in view of the 1935 Brussels International Exposition. Rugby Ottignies Club is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in Belgian 2nd Division. The club is based in Louvain-la-Neuve in the Belgian Province of Walloon Brabant. The official colours of the club are yellow and blue. History The club was founded in 1977 and played in the Belgian Elite League until the 2011–12 season when they were relegated to the 2nd Division for the 2012/13 season. The club have not won any major trophies but were runners up in the 2003-04 edition of the Belgian Cup. Boitsfort Rugby Club is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in the Belgian Elite League. The club is based in Brussels suburb of Boitsfort in the Brussels Capital Region. The official colours of the club are blue and white. RC Frameries is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in the Belgian Elite League. The club is based in Frameries in Hainaut. The official colours of the club are yellow and black. RC Soignies
RC Soignies is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in the Belgian Elite League. The club is based in Soignies in Hainaut. The official colours of the club are green and white. History The club was founded in 1973 and has never won the Belgian Elite League but recently won the Belgian Cup for the first time. In 2015, RC Soignies were beaten by a record 356-3 by Royal Kituro. The referee for the fixture arrived over an hour after the scheduled start time, during this period, most of the Soignies players left as they believed the match had been cancelled. The remaining players seemingly allowed the Kituro players to run unchallenged to score 56 tries and 38 conversions as a protest.
