The 2011 World Wrestling Championships was held at the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul, Turkey. The event took place between September 12 and September 18, 2011. Jabrayil Hasanov
Jabrayil Hasanov ( az, Cəbrayıl Həsənov, born on 24 February 1990 in Suparibağ, Astara, Azerbaijan, Soviet Union) is a male freestyle wrestler from Azerbaijan who has competed in the 66, 74 and 79 kg categories. He is an Olympic bronze medalist and multiple World Championships medalist. He is the winner of Yasar Dogu Grand-Prix . Career In 2010 and 2011 he won the European championships and finished third at the world championships. Next year he was fifth at the 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he beat Leonid Bazan and Ali Shabanov before losing to eventual gold medalist Tatsuhiro Yonemitsu in the semifinal. He was entered into the repechage and lost his bronze medal match to Liván López. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State Sport Academy and is coached by Aslan Agaev since 2000. Jake Varner
Jacob Stephen "Jake" Varner (born March 24, 1986) is an American wrestler. Varner won the gold medal in the 96 kg category at the 2012 Summer Olympics in freestyle wrestling. Varner wrestled collegiately for the Iowa State University Cyclones. He was a four-time NCAA Division I finalist and two-time NCAA Division I champion (junior and senior). In high school, he was also a two-time California wrestling state champion for Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, California, where was coached by his uncle Andy, who served as head coach, and his father Steve, who served as an assistant. Varner has been an assistant wrestling coach at Penn State since 2016. In 2022, Varner was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.Jake Varner

The tall athlete is a member of the Sancaktepe Belediye S.K. in Sancaktepe, Istanbul. Reza Yazdani ( fa, رضا یزدانی, born August 25, 1984 in Juybar, Iran) nicknamed The Leopard of Juybar, is an Iranian wrestler and two time World Champion, who won Gold in the 2011 World Wrestling Championships and 2013 World Wrestling Championships in the 96 kg division. He also won the gold medal in 2006 Asian Games in the 84 kg division and the gold medal in 2010 Asian Games in the 96 kg division, as well as the gold medal in 2014 Asian Games in 97 kg division. He competed in the London 2012 Olympics and also defeated Abdusalam Gadisov, but was injured in the semi-final, versus his Ukrainian competitor, Valeriy Andriytsev.
