Wigan
Wigan ( ) is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Douglas, Lancashire, River Douglas. "The Saint" Alan Tabern (born 29 September 1966) is an English darts player who plays in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Darts career A left-hander, Tabern made his PDC World Championship debut in 2006 with a surprising win over Alex Roy. He was beaten in the second round by Mark Dudbridge. Magnus Caris (born 15 November 1968) is a Swedish former professional darts player who competed in British Darts Organisation (BDO) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. BDO career Caris made seven BDO World Darts Championship appearances, his first coming in 1988, losing in the first round to Rick Ney of the United States. In 1990, he reached the quarter finals, beating Antero Rantala and Brian Cairns before losing to Eric Bristow. He is famous for his semi final match in the 1994 BDO World Darts Championship against crowd favourite Bobby George. Phil Taylor (darts Player)
Philip Douglas Taylor (born 13 August 1960) is an English former professional darts player, widely considered the greatest darts player of all time. Nicknamed The Power, he dominated darts for over two decades and won 214 professional tournaments, including a record 85 major titles and a record 16 World Championships. Justin Pipe
Justin Pipe (born 9 November 1971) is an English former professional darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He was a former top 10 player. Playing career Pipe was a boxer in his youth, and, as a staunch anti-smoker, he refused to play darts in local pubs as the cigarette smoke would make his eyes water. In 2007, a smoking ban was introduced to England which enabled him to restart his darts career. He first emerged at the 2008 UK Open as a pub qualifier. He defeated Geoff Wylie and Lionel Sams before losing 9–3 to James Wade in the third round. Steve Beaton (born 5 April 1964) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won the BDO World Darts Championship in 1996 and is a former World No. 1. Background Beaton was born in Coventry, Warwickshire, England. Jyhan Artut (born 9 October 1976) is a German professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Denis Ovens
Denis Ovens (born 1 July 1957 in Enfield) is an English retired professional darts player. He is nicknamed ''The Heat'' and is now based in Stevenage. Nick Fullwell (born 6 June 1969 in Wolverhampton) is an English professional darts player who plays for the Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Fullwell joined the PDC circuit in 2005 and narrowly missed out qualifying for the World Grand Prix, losing in the final game to Gary Welding. After that, Fullwell struggled to progress in tournaments, failing to qualify for major tournaments, including the UK Open. James Richardson (born 7 January 1974) is an English professional darts player who plays in events of the World Darts Federation. He is best known for defeating five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld in the first round of the 2012 PDC World Darts Championship. Career Richardson joined the PDC Pro Tour in 2011, after winning a tour card on the first day of Q School.
