Wigan
Wigan ( ) is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Douglas, Lancashire, River Douglas. Magnus Caris
Magnus Caris (born 15 November 1968) is a Swedish former professional darts player who competed in British Darts Organisation (BDO) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. BDO career Caris made seven BDO World Darts Championship appearances, his first coming in 1988, losing in the first round to Rick Ney of the United States. In 1990, he reached the quarter finals, beating Antero Rantala and Brian Cairns before losing to Eric Bristow. He is famous for his semi final match in the 1994 BDO World Darts Championship against crowd favourite Bobby George. He defeated Wayne Weening, Leo Laurens and Martin Adams to set up a match with George who was struggling with a very bad back following his quarter final win over Kevin Kenny. Colin Monk
Colin Monk (born 29 September 1967) is an English former professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) events. Career Monk won the Winmau World Masters in 1996, where he beat Richie Burnett 3–2 in the final. Monk's best run in the BDO World Darts Championship came in 1998 and 2002 when he reached the semi-finals, losing to Raymond van Barneveld and Mervyn King respectively. Monk was also part of what is often cited as one of the all-time great matches at Lakeside in 2003 when he defeated Tony O'Shea 3–2 in the Last 16 in a sudden death leg, with Monk's end average being 97.08 to O'Shea's 94.05. Michael Barnard (born 8 October 1976 from Sidcup, Greater London) is an English professional darts player who plays in the Professional Darts Corporation events. Raymond van Barneveld (born 20 April 1967) is a Dutch professional darts player. Nicknamed Barney, although originally known as The Man, he is one of the most successful darts players in history. Nick Fullwell (born 6 June 1969 in Wolverhampton) is an English professional darts player who plays for the Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Fullwell joined the PDC circuit in 2005 and narrowly missed out qualifying for the World Grand Prix, losing in the final game to Gary Welding. After that, Fullwell struggled to progress in tournaments, failing to qualify for major tournaments, including the UK Open. It wasn't until the end of 2007 where Fullwell began showing some promise, reaching the last 16 in a Player Championship tournament in the Netherlands. Jimmy Mann (born 19 July 1978, in Carshalton) is a retired England, English professional darts player who played in the Professional Darts Corporation events. He was not a full-time professional and makes his living as a greenkeeper. Career Mann made a good showing in the 2005 UK Open Regionals, reaching the semi-finals of the North West Regional and winning the Midlands Regional. Alexander Roy (born 4 September 1974) is an English former professional darts player who competed in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He used the nickname Ace of Herts for his matches and was formerly with Dave Holland Management. Roy's entrance music was "Burn in My Light" by Mercy Drive, which was the former theme of professional wrestler Randy Orton. In the early 2000s, Roy was inside the PDC's top 8 on the Order of Merit. Barrie Bates
Barrie Bates (born 17 October 1969) is a former Welsh darts player who played on the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) circuit. His original nickname was Batesy, but since 2007, he was known as Champagne. Career Bates made his PDC televised debut at the 2003 UK Open reaching the third round.
