Annika Langvad
Annika Langvad (born 22 March 1984) is a Danish former racing cyclist, who rode for Specialized Racing in cross-country mountain bike racing. Langvad is a five-time World Champion in mountain bike racing, winning four titles in mountain bike marathon and one in cross-country. Career From 2014, Langvad and her Swiss Spur-Specialized teammate Ariane Kleinhans won the women's category of Absa Cape Epic three consecutive times. In 2015, they won by a significant margin of an hour and 18 minutes. Langvad won the Cape Epic a total of five times during her career. Also in 2015, Langvad won the Leadville 100, becoming the first woman to ride that race under 7 hours. In 2016, Langvad won the world championship in Women's cross-country and also placed second in the UCI World Cup rankings for Cross Country, only 24 points behind the leader, Catharine Pendrel. Maja Włoszczowska
Maja Martyna Włoszczowska (Polish pronunciation: ; born 9 November 1983 in Warsaw) is a Polish mountain biker. She is the 2008 and 2016 Olympic silver medalist in cross-country cycling. She is a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Career Włoszczowska won the silver medal in mountain biking at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Since 2009, she has lent her name to a cross-country race in her home town of Jelenia Góra, called "Jelenia Góra Trophy Maja Włoszczowska MTB Race". Riders such as Miguel Martinez, Catharine Pendrel or Mary McConneloug have taken part in it. Włoszczowska became the world champion in elite cross-country mountain biking in 2010. At the 2011 World Championships, she was well-positioned to retain her title, but lost over a minute due to a flat tire and finished in second place, 28 seconds behind Catharine Pendrel. Nové Město na Moravě (; german: Neustadt in Mähren) is a town in Žďár nad Sázavou District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 9,800 inhabitants. Christoph Sauser (born 13 April 1976 in Sigriswil, Switzerland) is a cross-country mountain biker who won the bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He currently races on the Specialized Cross Country Team. He was the overall winner of the UCI World Cup in 2004 and 2005, along with taking 2nd in 2002 and 2003, with a 3rd place in 2001. Windham, New York
Windham is a town in Greene County, New York, United States. The population was 1,703 at the 2010 census. The town was probably named for the town or county of Windham, Connecticut, as many of its earliest settlers came from that state as well as other parts of New England. The town has two nicknames: "Land in the Sky" and "Gem of the Catskills". Windham is in the west-central part of the county on the northern boundary of the Catskill Park. Mont-Sainte-Anne is a ski resort in eastern Canada, located in the town of Beaupré, Quebec, about northeast of Quebec City. The mountain is part of the Laurentian mountain chain and has a summit elevation of above sea level with a vertical drop of . For day skiing, there are 71 available downhill ski trails covering the southern, northern and western sides of the mountain. For night skiing, there are 19 trails covering the southern part of the mountain only. It is the highest vertical for night skiing in Canada. The average natural snowfall at the summit is . Catharine Pendrel
Catharine Pendrel (born September 30, 1980) is a Canadian cross-country mountain biker from Harvey Station, New Brunswick. A member of the Canadian National team since 2004, Pendrel was the world champion in cross-country mountain biking in 2011 and 2014 and the 2007 Pan American Games champion. She is also the current reigning Commonwealth Games champion when she won gold in Glasgow. Additionally, Pendrel is the 2010 World Cup Champion as well as the winner of the 2012 UCI and 2016 World Cup Series. She won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Career Pendrel was a competitive horse rider in eventing prior to selecting mountain biking as her primary sport. Her brother Geoff Pendrel is an elite downhill mountain bike racer. He introduced her to the sport as a child through the trails he built on their horse farm. Pendrel's first race was on a bike borrowed from her brother.
