2011 Taça De Portugal Final
The 2011 Taça de Portugal Final was the final match of the 2010–11 Taça de Portugal, the 71st season of the Taça de Portugal, the premier Portuguese football cup competition organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The match was played on 22 May 2011 at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, and opposed Porto and Vitória de Guimarães. Porto defeated Vitória de Guimarães 6–2. A man of the match performance by Colombian winger James Rodríguez who scored a hat-trick, helped his side raise the club's tally to 16 trophies in this competition. The eight goals in the final provided the highest scoring final since the 1964 final, when Porto were defeated by Benfica by the same score. In Portugal, the final was televised live in HD on RTP1 and Sport TV. As Porto already qualified for the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League as domestic title holders, Vitória de Guimarães qualified for the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League as cup runners-up. 2010–11 Taça De Portugal
The 2010–11 Taça de Portugal, also known as Taça de Portugal Millennium for sponsorship reasons, was the 71st season of the Taça de Portugal. A total of 172 clubs from all four tiers of Portuguese football took part in this tournament. In the final (played at the Estádio Nacional, in Oeiras), Porto beat Vitória de Guimarães by 6–2, in a reedition of the 1988 final. 2011–12 UEFA Champions League
The 2011–12 UEFA Champions League was the 57th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 20th season in its current Champions League format. As part of a trial that started in the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League, two extra officials – one behind each goal – were used in all matches of the competition from the play-off round. The final was held at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Chelsea's caretaker manager Roberto Di Matteo led the club to win their first Champions League title after beating Bayern Munich 4–3 on penalties in the final. As tenants of the Allianz Arena (known as Fußball Arena München for the final), this meant that Bayern were the first finalists to have home advantage since 1984. The 2003 Taça de Portugal Final was the final match of the 2002–03 Taça de Portugal, the 63rd season of the Taça de Portugal, the premier Portuguese football cup competition organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The match was played on 15 June 2003 at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, and opposed two Primeira Liga sides: Porto and União de Leiria. Porto defeated União de Leiria 1–0, thanks to a second half strike from Brazilian striker Derlei. Porto's cup victory would give them a twelfth Taça de Portugal, and seal the treble after winning the Primeira Liga and the UEFA Cup a few weeks before the cup final.
