2011 Rugby Super League Season
The 2011 Rugby Super League season was be the sixteenth season of the Rugby Super League, the United States' premier division of rugby union. The regular season commenced March 12, 2011 with the Utah Warriors playing the Denver Barbarians. On April 30, 2011; the regular season ended, followed by the RSL playoffs, for which the top four clubs qualified. San Francisco Golden Gate won the playoffs and were crowned champions. They also had the best regular season and repeated as premiers. The defending champions were the New York Athletic Club, the defending premiers were the San Francisco Golden Gate. Marietta is a city in and the county seat of Cobb County, Georgia, United States. At the 2020 census, the city had a population of 60,972. San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in San Francisco, California. SFGG's first side competes in the Northern California Rugby Football Union's Men's Division I, Women's Division II, and Pacific Rugby Premiership. The SFGG Youth Program includes high school Varsity, Junior Varsity, Frosh-Soph teams as well as U-12, U-10 and U-8 (non-contact) youth teams. SFGG also fields nationally competitive Rugby Sevens squads over the summer. The SFGG Old Boys team, the Señors, feature in occasional matches. Paul Keeler
Paul Keeler (born April 17, 1971) is an American rugby union coach and former player. Keeler has coached Old Blue RFC, San Francisco Golden Gate, and Santa Clara University. In 2016, Keeler was the head coach of PRO Rugby team San Francisco Rush. Playing career Keeler began playing rugby for Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, before moving on to play with the Buffalo Old Boys RFC and Rockaway RFC men's clubs. Keeler moved on to play with Old Blue RFC of the Rugby Super League, reaching the playoffs four times including two RSL semifinals. Keeler was also a MetNY and NERFU select player during this period. The Seattle Rugby Club (formerly Seattle Saracens and Old Puget Sound Beach after a merger) is a rugby union club based in Seattle. The club travels throughout the US and into Canada. Chelsea Piers is a series of piers in Chelsea, on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City.
