The 2011 New Era Pinstripe Bowl, the second edition of the game, was a post-season American college football bowl game, held on December 30, 2011 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York as part of the 2011–12 NCAA Bowl season. New Era Cap Company
The New Era Cap Company is an American headwear company headquartered in Buffalo, New York. It was founded in 1920. New Era has over 500 different licenses in its portfolio. Since 1993 they have been the exclusive baseball cap supplier for Major League Baseball (MLB). History In 1920, Ehrhardt Koch borrowed $1,000 from his sister, Rose, and $1,000 from his co-worker Joe and started his own cap company, the "E. Koch Cap Company." Production started on the third floor of 1830 Genesee Street in Buffalo, New York. The company started with 14 employees, including Ehrhardt’s sister Rose, Ehrhardt's son, Harold, and Rose's son Wally Domas. In 1920, the company produced 60,000 caps. In 1934, New Era began producing caps for the Cleveland Indians, which would be their first Major League Baseball (MLB) contract. 2011–12 NCAA Football Bowl Games
The 2011–12 NCAA football bowl games were a series of college football bowl games. They concluded the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season, and included 35 team-competitive games and five all-star games. The games began on December 17, 2011 and, aside from the all-star games, concluded with the 2012 BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans, that was played on January 9, 2012. The total of 35 team-competitive bowls was unchanged from the previous year. While bowl games had been the purview of only the very best teams for nearly a century, this was the sixth consecutive year that teams with non-winning seasons participated in bowl games. To fill the 70 available team-competitive bowl slots, a total of 14 teams (20% of all participants) with non-winning seasons participated in bowl games—13 had a .500 (6-6) season and, for the first time ever, a team with a sub-.500 (6-7) season was invited to a bowl game. The Pinstripe Bowl is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football bowl game that is held at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, New York City. First played in 2010, the game is organized by the New York Yankees, primary tenants of the venue, and is currently affiliated with the Atlantic Coast Conference and Big Ten Conference through 2025. Brandon Coleman (born June 22, 1992) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Rutgers Scarlet Knights football, Rutgers. Jawan Jamison (born November 23, 1991) is a former American football running back. He played college football for Rutgers University. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. He was considered one of the best running backs in his class. The 2011 Iowa State Cyclones football team represented Iowa State University in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cyclones were led by third year head coach Paul Rhoads and play their home games at Jack Trice Stadium. They are a member of the Big 12 Conference.
