2011 Oceania Athletics Championships
The 2011 Oceania Athletics Championships were held at the Apia Park in Apia, Samoa, between June 21–23, 2011. There were significant changes in the format of the competition. Medals are now awarded in both of the newly formed two regional divisions "East" and "West". A total of 35 events were contested, 18 by men and 17 by women. Apia () is the Capital (political), capital and largest city of Samoa, as well as the nation's only city. It is located on the central north coast of Upolu, Samoa's second-largest island. Apia falls within the political district (''itūmālō'') of Tuamasaga. The Apia Urban Area (generally known as the City of Apia) has a population of 37,391 (2016 census).
