2011 North African Super Cup
The 2011 North African Super Cup was to have been the second edition of the competition initiated by the North African Football Union (UNAF), an annual football competition between the winners of the previous season's North African Cup and North African Cup Winners Cup competitions. The event was canceled. The competition would have been contested by the 2010 North African Cup of Champions winners, Club Africain, and the 2010 North African Cup Winners Cup winners, ES Sétif. UNAF had initially announced that, unlike the first edition, the 2011 Super Cup would be played over two legs in January. However, the competition was later planned to be played in a single leg at Stade Olympique de Radès in Tunis. The event was scheduled to occur on March 9; however, the event was indefinitely postponed due to the political situation in Tunisia. Club Africain ( ar, النادي الإفريقي) is a Tunisian football club based in Tunis that competes in the Tunisian Championship. It fields several sports teams, including football, handball, basketball, swimming and volleyball. Entente Sportive Sétifienne ( ar, الوفاق الرياضي السطايفي), known as Entente de Sétif, commonly referred to as ES Sétif or ESS for short, is an Algerian professional football club based in Sétif. The club was founded in 1958 and its colours are black and white. Their home stadium, the Stade 8 Mai 1945, has a capacity of 18,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. Stade Olympique De Radès
Stade Olympique Hamadi Agrebi, opened as Stade 7 November, is a multi-purpose stadium in Radès, Tunis, Tunisia about 10 kilometers south-east of downtown Tunis, in the center of the Olympic City. Radès ( ar, رادس) is a harbour city in Ben Arous Governorate, Tunisia. North African Cup
The North African Cup was a football competition involving the then French territories of Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia from 1930 to 1956. The tournament was contested between the clubs of five leagues, with Morocco and Tunisia contributing one league each, and Algeria contributing leagues from the districts of Algiers, Constantine and Oran. In 1956 the cup was cancelled as Morocco and Tunisia both became independent of France in that year and left the cup. The North African Cup Winners Cup was a competition organised by the Federation of North African Football, that contains the winners of the domestic cups around North Africa.
