The 2011 MTN 8 was the 37th time that this annual tournament took place. It was contested by the eight top teams of the Premier Soccer League table at the end of the 2010-11 season. The tournament began on 5 August 2011. Orlando Pirates
Orlando Pirates Football Club (often known as "The Buccaneers") is a South African professional football club based in the Houghton suburb of the city of Johannesburg and plays in the top-tier system of Football in South Africa known as DStv Premiership. The team plays its home matches at Orlando Stadium in Soweto. The club was founded in 1937 and was originally based in Orlando, Soweto. Mandla Masango
Mandla Masango (born July 18, 1989) is a South African footballer who most recently played as a right winger for Randers in Denmark. Masango represented South Africa at various youth levels and has been a full international since making his senior debut in 2013. Club career Kaizer Chiefs Masango joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2007 ahead of the 2007–08 Premier Soccer League season. He made his debut against Thanda Royal Zulu on 15 August 2007, scoring the Chiefs' first goal in a 2–0 win. He has gradually become a regular in the club's first team, making ten league appearances in 2009–10, before playing 20 league games in 2010–11. He has played twice so far in the 2011–12 season. Bernard Parker
Bernard Parker (born 16 March 1986) is a South African professional association footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Premier Soccer League club TS Galaxy. Between 2007 and 2015 he made 73 appearances for the South Africa national team scoring 23 goals. Parker started his professional football career playing for Thanda Royal Zulu in the Premier Soccer League, where he made 70 appearances before a one year loan to Serbian side Red Star Belgrade. He joined Eredivisie side FC Twente in 2009, where he spent a season and a half before being loaned out to Panserraikos in the Greek Super League. During his time in the Eredivisie, Parker won the 2009-10 Eredivisie and the 2010 Johan Cruyff Shield. He moved to Kaizer Chiefs in 2011. Orlando Stadium
Orlando Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Soweto, a suburb of Johannesburg, in Gauteng province in South Africa. It is the home venue for Orlando Pirates Football Club, a professional soccer team that plays in the Premier Soccer League. Orlando Stadium has hosted MTN 8 Cup Final and a Nedbank Cup Final. Today It is currently used mostly for football matches, as the home stadium of Orlando Pirates FC of the Premier Soccer League, and was intended to be utilized, as a training field, for teams participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup after it was completely rebuilt and reopened on 22 November 2008. Siyabonga Sangweni
Doctor Siyabonga Sangweni (born 29 September 1981 in Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal), known as Siyabonga Sangweni, is a retired South African soccer defender who used to play for Premier Soccer League club Orlando Pirates and South Africa. His younger brother Thamsanqa Sangweni is also a footballer and he also played for Orlando Pirates. Club career Golden Arrows Nsimbi as he is efficiently known as in the football circles sign for Abafana Bes'thende in 2005 from SAFA Second Division side Uthukela. Lucas "Masterpieces" Moripe Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium having a capacity of 28,900 and is located in Atteridgeville, a township (South Africa) of Pretoria, South Africa. Mabhuti Khanyeza, (born 17 June 1982 in Howick) is a retired South African association football striker. Career Khanyeza's arrival from Lamontville Golden Arrows in July 2007 after he had spent five seasons at the KwaZulu-Natal based team and scored 43 goals in the 102 official league and cup matches that he had participated in between 2002 and 2007, was according to many commentators bound to happen sooner or later.
