The 2011 Ligue 1 season was the 46th of the competition of the first-tier football in Senegal and the fourth professional season. The tournament was organized by the Senegalese Football Federation. The season began earlier on 18 December 2010 and finished on 9 September 2011. It was the third season labelled as a "League" ("Ligue" in French). US Ouakam won their first and recent title, and a year later would compete in the 2012 CAF Champions League. ASC Diaraf, second place and the winner of the 2012 Senegalese Cup Casa Sport participated in the 2012 CAF Confederation Cup, it was the last time bringing a second place club, only the cup winner would participate in the following season. The season would have feature 16 clubs and once again, the winner would be decided on the highest number of points, it was decided after the thirtieth match was finished. Senegal Premier League is the top division of the Senegal Football Association, it was founded in 1966. The league also hosts a domestic cup, the Coupe de la Ligue. 2012 CAF Confederation Cup
The 2012 CAF Confederation Cup (also known as the 2012 Orange CAF Confederation Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 9th edition of the CAF Confederation Cup, Africa's secondary club football competition organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). AC Léopards from the Republic of the Congo won their first title, defeating Djoliba from Mali with a 4–3 win on aggregate in the final. They earned the right to play in the 2013 CAF Super Cup. AS Pikine
Association Sportive de Pikine or simply AS Pikine is a Senegalese football club based in Pikine. They play at Stade Alassane Djigo, which has a capacity of 5,000. History The earlier club was established in 1921 and was called Niayes-Pikine. The modern club was established in 1970, first known as ASC Niayes-Pikine up to the 2000s. AS Pikine entered Ligue 1 in 2009. They would win their first national championship and cup title at the same time for the 2013/14 season and headed to participate in the CAF Champions league in 2015 and challenged Étoile Filante de Ouagadougou, a club from Burkina Faso and later into the first round where they lost to USM Algiers from Algeria. ASC Linguère is a Senegalese football club based in Saint-Louis. It plays in the second division in Senegalese football. Its home stadium is Stade de Linguère.
