2011 Kuala Lumpur FA Season
The 2011 season was the 33rd season in Kuala Lumpur's existence, and their second consecutive year in the top flight of Malaysian football. Kuala Lumpur qualified for the Malaysia Cup, after finishing 12th in the Super League and missed out on reaching the quarter-finals by a point after a 2-1 defeat to Selangor in the final group game. They also reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since 2005. Kuala Lumpur City Football Club, known simply as KL City FC, is a Malaysian professional football club based in Kuala Lumpur. The club competes in the Malaysia Super League, the top level of Malaysian football, and was founded in 1974 as Federal Territory by the Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA). The Shah Alam Stadium (Malay: ''Stadium Shah Alam'') is a multi-purpose stadium located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It is used mostly for football matches but also has facilities for athletics. The stadium is the officially home of Red Giants, Selangor F.C. since 16 July 1994, and has a capacity of 80,372. Mohd Fadzli Saari (born 1 January 1983) is a Malaysian former footballer who is an assistant coach for Perlis Northern Lions U19 . He was a member of the Malaysia national football team. Yong Kuong Yong (born 18 September 1988 in Port Dickson) is a Malaysian footballer. He is currently playing for CRC Penang in FAP Division 1.
