Mirsharai Upazila ( bn, মীরসরাই) is an upazila of Chattogram District in Chattogram Division, Bangladesh. It consists 2 Thanas and 2 Pauroshavas. The two Thanas are Jorargonj Thana and Mirsharai Thana and, the two Pauroshavas are Baraiyarhat and Mirsharai. History Sultan Fakhruddin Mobarak Shah conquered Chittagong in 1340 AD and established the Muslim rule in this region. Nilima Ibrahim
Neelima Ibrahim (11 October 1921 – 18 June 2002) was a Bangladeshi educationist, littérateur and social worker. She is well known for her scholarship on Bengali literature but even more so for her depiction of raped and tortured women in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War in her book ''Ami Birangana Bolchi''. She was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1969, Begum Rokeya Padak in 1996 and Ekushey Padak in 2000 by the Government of Bangladesh for her contributions to Bangla literature. Sanghraj Jyotipal Mahathero
Jyotipal Mahathero was a Bangladeshi Buddhist monk. He was the 10th ''Sangharaja'' (supreme patriarch) of Buddhists in Bangladesh. Early life Mahathero was born on 5 January 1914 in Kemtali, Laksam Upazila, Comilla District. His father's name was Chandramoni Singh and his mother's name was Draupadi Bala Singh. The 2010-11 Bangladesh share market scam was a period of instability in the stock market from 2009 to 2011; the turmoil was in the two Bangladeshi stock exchanges, DSE and CSE.
