2011 Icelandic Cup
The 2011 Visa-Bikar was the 52nd season of the Icelandic national Association football, football cup. It began on 30 April 2011 and ended with the final in August 2011 at Laugardalsvöllur. Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar, FH were the reigning champions, having won their second Icelandic cup 2010 Icelandic Cup, last year. Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur, KR won the cup after beating Þór Akureyri, Þór 2-0 in the final. As KR also won the 2011 Úrvalsdeild, league, they qualified for the 2012–13 UEFA Champions League and Þór will enter the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League#First qualifying round, first qualifying round of UEFA Europa League as losing cup finalists. Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur (Reykjavík Football Club), often shortened to KR or KR Reykjavík, is an Icelandic football club based in the Vesturbær district of the capital, Reykjavík. Extra Time
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament. Íþróttafélagið Leiknir, commonly known as Leiknir Reykjavík, is an Icelandic multi-sports club. It is best known for its men's football team that plays in 1. deild karla (football), 1. deild karla, the second tier of Icelandic football, but also fields departments in Badminton, basketball, volleyball and karate. The club was founded in 1973 and is based in Breiðholt, Reykjavík. Léttir
Léttir is an Icelandic football club located in Reykjavík. They currently play in the 4. deild karla (fifth tier) league, and participate in the Icelandic Cup. Originally a club based in Laugardalur in Reykjavík before being folded in the beginning of the 21. century. Léttir was reestablished in 2009 as a “reserve” club for Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur.
