2011 ITM Hamilton 400
The 2011 ITM Hamilton 400 was a motor race for the Australian sedan-based V8 Supercars. It was the third event of the 2011 International V8 Supercars Championship. It was held on the weekend of 15–17 April at the Hamilton Street Circuit, in Hamilton, New Zealand. It was the fourth running of the Hamilton 400. The weekend saw two first time winners: Rick Kelly took the first victory for Kelly Racing and Shane van Gisbergen won the first race of his career. The event hosted races 5 and 6 of the 2011 season. 2006 V8 Supercar champion Rick Kelly won the Saturday race from third on the grid in a mixture of wet and dry weather conditions. Paul Dumbrell did not participate in the race after a heavy crash at turn 3 in qualifying. Hamilton ( mi, Kirikiriroa) is an inland city in the North Island of New Zealand. Located on the banks of the Waikato River, it is the seat and most populous city of the Waikato region. Garth Tander (born 31 March 1977) is a multiple-championship winning Australian motor racing driver competing in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship's Enduro Cup, co-driving the No. 97 Holden ZB Commodore for Triple Eight Race Engineering. Dean Fiore (born 1 December 1983) is an Australian professional racing driver. Fiore competed in the 2022 Bathurst 1000 for Brad Jones Racing as a co-driver alongside Bryce Fullwood in the No. 14 Holden Commodore (ZB). Greg Murphy
Gregory Murphy (born 23 August 1972) is a New Zealand professional racing driver, best known as a four-time winner of the Bathurst 1000. Greg Murphy joined Jeremy Clarkson and James May presenting Top Gear Live, when it had its first international Live show at ASB Showgrounds in Auckland from 12 to 15 February 2009, and again when the show returned in 2010. History Murphy became involved in motorsports by the age of eight, progressing through karts to saloon cars and single-seaters before moving to Australia. Steven Johnson (born 6 September 1974) is an Australian racing driver. He is the son of former racer and now team-owner Dick Johnson. He competed full-time for Dick Johnson Racing from 2000–2012. Johnson is married and has two children. Triple Eight Race Engineering, (branded as Red Bull Ampol Racing) is an Australian motor racing team competing in the Supercars Championship.
