2011 Critérium International
The 2011 Critérium International was the 80th edition of the Critérium International cycling stage race. It started on 26 March in Porto-Vecchio and ended on 27 March in Porto-Vecchio and consisted of 3 stages, including 2 stages on the same day; a flat stage and an individual time trial, held as the second and third stages. The race was won by Leopard-Trek rider Fränk Schleck, who claimed the leader's yellow jersey after a strong finish in the first stage, and maintained his advantage to the end of the race. Schleck's winning margin over runner-up Vasil Kiryienka of Team Movistar was 13 seconds, and Cofidis' Rein Taaramäe completed the podium, 17 seconds down on Kiryienka. In the race's other classifications, Kiryienka won the green jersey for the points classification, the King of the Mountains classification was won by Pim Ligthart of Vacansoleil–DCM, Taaramäe won the young rider classification, and Movistar finished at the head of the teams classification. 2010 Vuelta A España
The 2010 Vuelta a España was held from 28 August to 19 September and was won by Vincenzo Nibali. The race began in Seville and ended, as is tradition, in Madrid. The race covered . There was critical analysis that this Vuelta, which commemorates the 75th anniversary of the first edition of the race, was an especially difficult one and that stage 16 was the queen stage. The stage 1 team time trial was held at night. Vuelta runner-up Ezequiel Mosquera and teammate David García Dapena were announced on September 30 to have given positive tests for hydroxyethyl starch during the race, a substance which is known as a masking agent for erythropoietin (EPO). Lars Petter Nordhaug (born 14 May 1984) is a Norwegian former road bicycle racer, who competed professionally between 2005 and 2017 for the , , and teams. Career Early career Nordhaug started his career as a mountain biker, but after finishing 5th in the 2004 Norwegian National Road Race Championships, his focus changed towards road bicycle racing. His breakthrough came two years later, in 2006, when he won the national road race championships. This year was his breakout year, also winning Birkebeinerrittet, a Norwegian long-distance mountain-bike cycling race. Sergey Lagutin (; born 14 January 1981) is a former professional road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2004 and 2018 for seven different teams, and represented both Russia and Uzbekistan in competition. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Career In 2003, Fergana-born Lagutin became the Under-23 men's road race world champion. He represented Uzbekistan in the men's road race at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. In 2005, he captured the Uzbekistan national road race and time trial championships. Alexandre Geniez
Alexandre Geniez (born 16 April 1988) is a French professional cyclist, who last rode for UCI ProTeam . In March 2022 Geniez was convicted of domestic violence charges and given a four month suspended prison sentence. On 31 May 2022 terminated his contract effective immediately. Career One of his prestigious feats was winning the white jersey awarded to the best young rider in the 2011 Tour de Luxembourg.
