2010–11 New Zealand V8 Season
The 2010–11 New Zealand V8 season was the twelfth season of the series, under the NZV8 guise. The season began at Pukekohe on 5 November 2010 and finished at the Hamilton Street Circuit on 17 April 2011 after seven championship meetings. John McIntyre won the championship by 81 points over 2nd placed Craig Baird, 3rd placed Andy Booth, and 4th placed Angus Fogg. Teams and drivers * All teams must adhere to the series' car specification rules. All Holdens must be based upon the body shells of its VT, VX or VY Commodores, with upgrades available to replicate it to a VZ or VE. The New Zealand Touring Cars Championship (currently known as the Racer Products V8s for commercial reasons) is a New Zealand-based motorsport category of touring car racing. MotorSport New Zealand, New Zealand's national governing and sanctioning body for motorsport, awarded the category "New Zealand Touring Car Championship" title status in 1996. Since being awarded national championship title status, drivers and teams across New Zealand had raced in what was at the time New Zealand's premier motorsport category. Matthew Lockwood (racing Driver)
Matthew Dominic Lockwood (born 17 October 1976) is an English former footballer and coach who is currently head coach of the Montserrat national football team. He played for teams including Leyton Orient, Nottingham Forest and Dundee. Lockwood was known for his attacking qualities from left back and his goal scoring abilities.
