2010–11 Libyan Premier League
The 2010–11 Libyan Premier League (known as the Libyana Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 44th edition of the competition since its inception in 1963. A total of 12 clubs will contest the league, with Ittihad the defending champions. The fixtures for the 2010–11 season were drawn on 3 August 2010 on air at 19:30 EET. The season began on 9 August 2010 with the 12 teams agreed upon by the LFF, but, after several rounds of talks, Ahly Tripoli were re-instated following their withdrawal from the league last season, in addition to Tahaddy, Najma and Wahda, the other two sides relegated and last season's Second Division runners-up, respectively. The season was abandoned half-way due to the Libyan Civil War. Libyan Premier League
The Libyan Premier League ( ar, الدوري الليبي الممتاز) is the men's top professional football division of the Libyan football league system. Administered by the Competition Organizing Committee in the Libyan Football Federation (Arabic: لجنة تنظيم المسابقات بالإتحاد الليبي لكرة القدم), Libyan Premier League is contested by 24 teams divided into two groups of 12, with the two lowest-placed teams of each group relegated to the First Division. 51 have competed in Libyan Premier League since its inception. Ten teams have been crowned champions, with Al-Ittihad winning the title a record 18 times and Al-Ahly Tripoli 12 times being the dominating clubs of the tournament. Tripoli (; ar, طرابلس الغرب, translit= Ṭarābulus al-Gharb , translation=Western Tripoli) is the capital and largest city of Libya, with a population of about 1.1 million people in 2019. Benina Martyrs Stadium ( ar, ملعب شهداء بنينة) and until 2011 officially named Hugo Chávez Football Stadium ( ar, ملعب هوغو شافيز), is a Libyan Soccer-specific stadium, football stadium located in Benina, a town 19 km east of Benghazi. The stadium was constructed by the same company that built the Brita-Arena in Germany. The stadium holds 10,550 people. This is Libya's first all-seater stadium. Districts Of Libya
In Libya there are currently 106 districts, second level administrative subdivisions known in Arabic as ''baladiyat'' (singular ''baladiyah''). The number has varied since 2013 between 99 and 108. The first level administrative divisions in Libya are currently the governorates (''muhafazat''), which have yet to be formally deliniated, but which were originally tripartite as: Tripolitania in the northwest, Cyrenaica in the east, and Fezzan in the southwest; and later divided into ten governorates. Al-Ahly Sports Cultural & Social Club () known as Al-Ahly SCSC is a Libyan Sports club based in Benghazi, Libya. Al-Ahly SC has its roots in a political party, the Omar al Mukhtar society.
