2010–11 Dynamo Dresden Season
The 2010–11 season saw Dynamo Dresden challenge for promotion from the 3. Liga for the first time since its foundation in 2008. After shaky start, they found themselves in contention for third place, behind the top two of Eintracht Braunschweig and Hansa Rostock. When a poor run of form in March and April put this position into jeopardy, manager Matthias Maucksch was sacked and replaced with Ralf Loose. The change had the desired effect - Dynamo win five of their last six games (drawing the other), beating Kickers Offenbach on the last day of the season to secure third place, and a playoff with VfL Osnabrück, who had finished third bottom in the 2. Bundesliga. The first leg of the playoff, in Dresden, ended in a 1–1 draw, as did the 90 minutes of the second leg, but Dynamo scored two goals in extra time to win 4–2 on aggregate and return to the second division after a five-year absence. Dynamo Dresden

Tim Kister (born 30 December 1986) is a German former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Career Kister played with various amateur clubs in his hometown of Frankfurt, before joining Dynamo Dresden in 2010. He made his 3. Liga debut in the first match of the 2010–11 season, coming as a substitute for Jonas Strifler, and made another 20 appearances as the club finished third and were promoted to the 2. Bundesliga. Jonas Strifler
Jonas Strifler (born 30 January 1990) is a German retired footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. Career Strifler played as a youth for Karlsruher SC and 1899 Hoffenheim, being promoted to Hoffenheim's reserve team in 2007. He was given a first-team squad number for the 2008-09 season, Hoffenheim's first Bundesliga season, but did not make a first-team appearance. In September 2009 he signed for Dynamo Dresden and made his debut shortly afterwards, playing at right-back in a 3. Liga match against VfL Osnabrück. Lars Jungnickel
Lars Jungnickel (born 31 August 1981) is a German former professional footballer. Early in his career, he played as a forward and later as a midfielder, most notably for Dynamo Dresden. Career Jungnickel was born in Dohna, East Germany. He had two spells with Dynamo Dresden. He first joined the club as a child in 1987, and made his debut in the Regionalliga Nordost twelve years later. He spent two seasons in Dynamo's first-team, playing as a striker, and despite the club's relegation to, and subsequent failure to get promoted from, the NOFV-Oberliga, he showed promise, and in July 2001 he earned a move to Energie Cottbus of the Bundesliga, along with teammate Silvio Schröter. Florian Jungwirth
Florian Jungwirth (born 27 January 1989) is a German professional former footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. Club career 1860 Munich Jungwirth began his career as a defender with his hometown club TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld when he was ten years old, before moving to TSV 1860 Munich, and progressing through the reserve team from age groups U-11 to U-19. Maik Kegel (born 8 December 1989) is a German footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Fortuna Köln. Career Kegel began his career with Dynamo Dresden and was promoted to the first team during the 2007–08 season, and made an immediate impact, making his debut against Hamburger SV II, where he scored just five minutes after coming on as a substitute for Pavel David. In his five years with Dynamo, Kegel made 90 league appearances, scoring eight goals and helped the club earn promotion to the 2. Bundesliga in 2011. Benjamin Kirsten (born 2 June 1987) is a German former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He spent much of his active career with Dynamo Dresden and 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig. Early life Kirsten was born in Riesa, East Germany.
