2010–11 Bulgarian Cup
The 2010–11 Bulgarian Cup was the 29th official season of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began in September 2010 with the matches of the preliminary round and ended the final in May 2011. Beroe Stara Zagora are the defending champions. The winners of the competition will qualify for the play-off round of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League. PFC CSKA Sofia
CSKA Sofia ( bg, ЦСКА София) is a Bulgarian professional association football club based in Sofia and currently competing in the country's premier football competition, the First League. ''CSKA'' is an abbreviation for ''Central Sports Club of the Army'' ( bg, Централен Спортен Клуб на Армията). PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad
PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad was a Bulgarian professional football club based in Blagoevgrad. History Makedonska slava Club was founded in 1928 as Makedonska Slava (" Macedonian Glory"). In 1948 the club joined the newly established FD Julius Dermendzhiev and cease its independent existence. In 2000 Makedonska Slava was restored after unification with Granit Stara Kresna. In 2002–03 season was successful for the club, which finished 2nd, and won promotion to the A PFG for first time in the club's history. Pirin Blagoevgrad Several years later, under the hand of the new owner Nikolay Galchev, the football club renamed to Pirin 1922 in the 2004/05 season and returned again to top flight football for the next, 2005–06 season. FC Chavdar Etropole
FC Chavdar ( bg, ФК Чавдар) is a Bulgarian football club based in Etropole, Sofia Province. Founded in 1922, they compete in the South-West Third League, the third tier of Bulgarian football. They play their home games at the Chavdar Stadium, which now boasts a capacity of 5,600. Their home colours are red and white. Chavdar have spent the majority of their playing history between the third and fourth tiers of the Bulgarian football league system. They achieved promotion to the second tier in 2007 following a win against Botev Vratsa in the play-off. The following season, they achieved their highest league finish in club history, ending the season 3rd in the Bulgarian Second Division. Septemvri Simitli
FC Septemvri ( bg, ФК Септември) is a Bulgarian football club based in Simitli, which currently plays in the Third League, the third tier of the Bulgarian football league system. History The club was founded in 1942. From 1961 to 1975, it was called "Pirin miner". The players at that time were mostly young boys from the age of 18 to 20, with the exception of goalkeeper Dimitar Atanasovski (former player from Belasitsa). The recruited coach was Stoimenov and assistant coach was Radoslav Mitrevski (former player of CSKA Sofia and OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad). As of 2011, Septemvri is officially affiliated as a satellite to Levski Sofia. FC Botev Vratsa
Botev ( bg, Ботев) is a Bulgarian professional football club based in Vratsa, that competes in the First League, the top division of Bulgarian football. The club was founded in 1921. Since 1948, Botev have played their home games at Stadion Hristo Botev. It is situated in the Hristo Botev sport complex, in the east part of Vratsa. The stadium originally had 25 000 seats. After a recent reconstruction, which took place in the first half of 2008 and in 2009, the stadium has 7 reconstructed seated sectors with a total of 6 417 seats. FC Etar Veliko Tarnovo ( bg, ФК Етър Велико Търново) is a former Bulgarian professional football club based in Veliko Tarnovo. They were last competing in the 2012–13 season of the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the top tier of professional football in Bulgaria. The club replaced the old FC Etar (Veliko Tarnovo), which won the Bulgarian championship in 1991. The club's home ground has been Ivaylo Stadium since 1958, and their main nicknames are the Bolyars and the Violets, the latter in reference to the colour of their home kit, which is often mistaken for purple. FC Vihren Sandanski
OFC Vihren ( bg, ОФК Вихрен) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Sandanski, currently playing in the South-West Third League. Sandanski's home ground is the Sandanski Stadium in Sandanski with a capacity of 6,000. Vihren Sandanski's team colours are green and white. Vihren was founded in 1925, changing its name several times during its early existence. Up until the early 2000s, Vihren played mostly in either the second or third tiers of Bulgarian football. Season 2004-05 is arguably the most important in the club's history, as the team managed to promote to the A PFG, or first tier of Bulgarian football, for the first time. Bansko ( bg, Банско) is a Bulgarian professional association football club from the town of Bansko, currently playing in the South-West Third League, the third division of Bulgarian football. Its home matches take place at the Saint Petar Stadium. The club was founded in 1951. Until the 2008–09 season, the team participated in either the amateurs Bulgarian divisions.
