2010–11 Brisbane Roar FC Season
The 2010–11 season was Brisbane Roar's 6th season in the A-League. On Friday 4 February 2011, Brisbane Roar were confirmed as Premiers with two games remaining in the regular season. The seasons' Premiers Plate is the first piece of silverware for the club and meant automatic qualification for the group stages of the 2012 Asian Champions League. After a thrilling grand final which went to a penalty shootout, the Roar prevailed and were crowned A-League Champions. Brisbane Roar Football Club is an Australian professional association football, soccer club based in Brisbane, Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland and has won the domestic title on three occasions, as well as holding the longest unbeaten record of 36 league matches without defeat. Ivan Frankie Franjic (born 10 September 1987) is an Australian Association football, soccer player who plays for Heidelberg United FC, Heidelberg United in the NPL Victoria. Club career Victorian Premier League Franjic played at Junior level for Meadow Park Eagles, Melbourne Knights, and St Albans Saints. During the 2005 season he made his senior debut for the Saints, playing 39 times for a reward of five goals. James Meyer (born 28 May 1986) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for National Premier Leagues Queensland club Brisbane City. Andrew James Redmayne (born 13 January 1989) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Sydney FC in the A-League and the Australia men's national team. Redmayne was born in Gosford and played youth football with the Australian Institute of Sport Football Program before starting his professional career with Central Coast Mariners. Nathan Luke Brattan (born 8 March 1990) is an Australian professional football player who plays as a defensive midfielder for Sydney FC. Born in England, Brattan moved to Australia at a young age, playing youth football for Rochedale Rovers and Queensland Lions before making his professional debut for Brisbane Roar. He spent several seasons with the Roar before leaving the club in 2015. Mitchell Ian "Mitch" Nichols (born 1 May 1989) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Gold Coast United FC in the National Premier Leagues Queensland. Matthew Graham McKay (born 11 January 1983) is a retired Australian professional footballer who last played for Australian A-League club Brisbane Roar, and previously with the Australian national team. McKay currently holds the club's record for league appearances, 272.
