2010–11 Bethune–Cookman Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Bethune–Cookman Wildcats men's basketball team represented Bethune–Cookman University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by head coach Clifford Reed, played their home games at Moore Gymnasium and the Ocean Center, both in Daytona Beach, Florida, as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The Wildcats won the MEAC regular-season title, their first since joining Division I in 1980. The Wildcats were the number one seed in the MEAC tournament, but were upset in the semifinals by . Bethune–Cookman failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament, but received an automatic bid to the 2011 NIT as the regular-season champions of the MEAC. Clifford Reed
Clifford Reed (born April 12, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who last served as the interim head coach at Maryland Eastern Shore. He is also the former head coach at Bethune–Cookman. Early life and education Born in Ormond Beach, Florida, Reed graduated from Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach in 1983 and began his college basketball career at St. Johns Community College, where he played from 1983 to 1985. Reed transferred to Daytona Beach Community College to finish his associate degree. After graduation, Reed served in the United States Army before enrolling at Bethune–Cookman College in 1989 to continue his college basketball career. Reed graduated from Bethune–Cookman in 1991. Coaching career Reed's first coaching position was under Horace Broadnax at Bethune–Cookman in the 1991–92 season. Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. McKale Center
McKale Memorial Center is an athletic arena in the Southwestern United States, southwest United States, located on the campus of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. As the home of the university's Arizona Wildcats men's basketball, Wildcats basketball team of the Pac-12 Conference, it is primarily used for College basketball, basketball, but also has physical training and therapy facilities. Its construction is marked with a large copper cap that has oxidized brown. The 2010–11 Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team represented the University of Arizona during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by second year head coach Sean Miller, played their home games at the McKale Center and are members of the Pacific-10 Conference. Miller was named the Pac-10 Conference 2011 John R. Wooden Coach of the Year. The Wildcats finished the regular season 25–6, 14–4 in Pac-10 play to win the twelfth Pac-10 regular season championship title for first time since 2005 and lost in the championship game of the 2011 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball tournament to Washington. The Las Vegas Invitational is an 8 team college basketball tournament held during Thanksgiving of NCAA Division I men's college basketball season annually since 2003. The Tournament was originally held in the gymnasium of Valley High School, until moving to the new Orleans Arena in 2006. The tourney launched with local car dealer Findlay Toyota as its sponsor. From 2006 to 2013 the sponsor of the tournament was IBN Sports. Continental Tire is the current sponsor of the tournament. Fox Sports purchased the event and the Las Vegas Classic in 2015. Leavey Center, also known as the Leavey Activities Center or occasionally by its old nickname the Toso Pavilion, is Santa Clara University's indoor basketball arena in Santa Clara, California. It is home to the Santa Clara University Broncos Division I Basketball and Volleyball Teams. It has hosted the West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament ten times. Arena history Leavey Center began life as the Harold J. Toso Pavilion, or Toso Pavilion constructed in 1975. The facility featured an air supported vinyl fabric roof supported by 11 large fans constantly producing a higher air pressure inside the dome than outside, similar to the Pontiac Silverdome or BC Place Stadium.
