2010 Zuiderduin Masters
The 2010 Zuiderduin Masters was a BDO/ WDF darts tournament that took place in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands. Ross Montgomery won the men's title, beating Robbie Green 5-4 in sets having been 4-0 down. Zuiderduin Masters
The Finder Darts Masters was a darts tournament held in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, sanctioned by the British Darts Organisation and the World Darts Federation, running intermittently under several different names from 1995 to 2018. The tournament was previously known as the Zuiderduin Masters from 2007 to 2014, as the Leendesk Masters in 2005, as the Doeland Grand Masters from 2001 to 2004, as the European Grand Masters in 2000, and as the Dutch Grand Masters in 1995 and 1996. It was held in December and was traditionally the last BDO event held before the annual World Championship. The tournament was an unranked event until 2008, when it was installed as a ranking event, along with the World Championships and the World Masters, following the cancellation of the World Darts Trophy and the International Darts League. Alan Norris (darts Player)
Alan Norris (born 21 February 1972) is a former English darts player. He was the runner-up at the 2014 BDO World Darts Championship and also lost in the final of the 2012 Zuiderduin Masters, with Stephen Bunting prevailing on both occasions. In 2015, he switched to the PDC and, after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2016 World Championship, he was named the PDC Best Newcomer of the year. BDO career Norris won the 2007 Sweden National Championships, beating Daniel Larsson in the final. He had earlier reached the semi-finals of the Finnish Open. Norris then narrowly missed out qualifying for the last 16 of the 2007 Winmau World Masters, having beaten Michael Rosenauer, Mitchell Crooks and Daniel Brouwer before losing to Jordy Terburg. Gino Vos
Gino Vos (born 6 July 1990) is a Dutch professional darts player. Career Vos first came to prominence as an 18-year-old in the 2008 Czech Open, getting to the final before losing to Dave Prins 6–4. His next major success came in the 2009 World Masters as a 19-year-old. He defeated such players as Ross Smith in the last 72, before knocking out the then- BDO World Champion Ted Hankey by 3 sets to 1 in the last 16. His run came to an end, however, as he was beaten 3–1 by eventual winner Martin Adams in the quarter-finals. Vos has also played in European events on the PDC Pro Tour. His best result came in the 2011 PDC Youth Tour Event at Nuland, Netherlands on 18 June 2011 as he beat fellow countryman Michael van Gerwen 4–0 in the semi-finals before losing 4–2 to Joe Cullen. John Walton (darts Player)
John Michael Walton (born 10 November 1961) is an English professional darts player currently playing in World Darts Federation (WDF) events. He is best known for winning the 2001 BDO World Darts Championship. He adopted the nickname John Boy and used the song "Cotton Eye Joe" by Rednex as his walk-on theme. BDO career 1993–2000: Early career Walton picked up some small tournament victories in the early stages of his career, including the Websters 150 Championship in 1993 and the Highlands Open Championship in 1996 but didn't manage to qualify for the World Championship until 1999 when he lost 0–3 to Roland Scholten on his first round debut. John Henderson (darts Player)
John Henderson (born 4 May 1973) is a Scottish darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Henderson started out in the PDC circuit and played one tournament in Scotland as well as the 2003 UK Open where he lost in the first round, having won his preliminary match. He then qualified for the 2005 BDO World Darts Championship, where he beat Stephen Bunting in the first round before losing in round two to Martin Adams – hitting a record thirteen 180s (for a five-set match) in the 3–2 defeat. Henderson then reached the quarter-finals of the 2005 British Open and the last 32 of the 2005 Winmau World Masters. Henderson reached the final of the 2007 British Open. Joey Ten Berge
Joey ten Berge (born 18 October 1985) is a Dutch former darts player. Career BDO Ten Berge won the 2001 WDF Europe Youth Cup beating Sweden's Markus Korhonen in the final. Six years later, he captured his first professional title by capturing the 2007 Austrian Open, defeating Hungary's Nándor Bezzeg in the final. He followed up by winning the Open Oost Nederland a month later. He fell two games short of qualifying for the 2008 BDO World Darts Championship, losing to American Steve Brown and also fell two rounds short of making the televised stages of the 2007 Winmau World Masters, losing to Paul Gibbs. Steve Douglas (darts Player)
Stephen "Steve" Douglas (born 17 November 1977 from Bromley, London) is a former English professional darts player. His nickname was The Game. Career Douglas won the 1995 WDF Europe Youth Cup, and made his BDO World Darts Championship debut in 2000. He defeated Gary Spedding in the first round before losing to eventual champion Ted Hankey in the second round. Douglas returned to the BDO World Championship stage in 2011, losing 0-3 in the first round to Gary Robson. He has also appeared in the Last 16 of the World Masters in 2009 and again in 2011. Tony West (born 7 July 1972) is an English former professional darts player. Darts career BDO career Winmau World Masters West's biggest successes have come at the Winmau World Masters. He reached the final in 2002 but was beaten by 7-4 by Mark Dudbridge. In 2003, he made the semi-finals where he played Ted Hankey. Dave Prins
David Michael Prins (born 16 November 1968) is an English professional darts player. Career Prins reached the last 16 of the 2009 Winmau World Masters, where he lost to Tony O'Shea in three straight sets. Prins qualified for his first BDO World Darts Championship in 2010. He was the seventh seed, but lost in the first round to eventual semi-finalist Martin Phillips. He won the 2010 Isle of Man Open, beating Joey ten Berge. He also qualified for the 2011 BDO World Darts Championship as the number 16 seed, but lost 1–3 to John Walton. Scott Waites
Scott Waites (born 17 February 1977) is an English professional darts player who plays in tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion. He also won the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, becoming the only BDO representative to win the event. Career Waites' first career success came in February 2007 when he won the Dutch Open an event which attracted 2867 entries. Stuart Kellet
Stuart Kellett (born 12 August 1981) is a former English darts player. BDO career Kellett reached the last 16 of the 2007 Winmau World Masters, having beaten Andy Fordham among others on the way to the televised stages. He lost 1-3 in sets to the then BDO world champion Martin Adams. He also qualified for the 2008 Zuiderduin Masters, losing both of his group games to Mareno Michels and Darryl Fitton. In 2010, Kellett won both the Scottish Open and the Antwerp Open. His good run of form helped him to qualify for the 2010 Winmau World Masters as the second seed. Gary Robson (darts Player)
Gary "Big Robbo" Robson (born 19 June 1967) is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation events. Robson now resides in the small rural village of Rothbury, Northumberland. Career Robson qualified twice for the World Championships, but was beaten in the first round on each occasion. He made it for a third time in 2004, but found himself 2–0 down in sets against Steve Coote. However, Robson recovered and took the match to a sudden death deciding leg, which he won. Bobby George commented that "you won't see browner darts in this tournament than that match". Robson had another excellent performance in losing to 'Silverback' Tony O'Shea in the second round. Robson's biggest tournament win so far was at the World Darts Trophy in Utrecht, Netherlands.
