2010 UCF Knights Football Team
The 2010 UCF Knights football team represented the University of Central Florida in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Their head coach was George O'Leary, who was in his seventh season with the team. For the first time in program history, the Knights were nationally ranked following a nationally televised rout of Houston on November 5. For the third time in six years, UCF won the Conference USA Eastern Division and later, became Conference USA champions for the second time in four seasons. As a result, the Knights appeared in the Liberty Bowl, in which they defeated Georgia 10–6, for the first bowl victory in program history. UCF finished the season ranked in both final national polls, 20th in the Coaches Poll, and 21st in the AP Poll. All games were broadcast live on the UCF- ISP Sports radio network. George O'Leary
George Joseph O'Leary (born August 17, 1946) is a former American football coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from 1994 to 2001 and the UCF Knights from 2004 to 2015. He was hired in 2001 to be the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish but resigned after five days for lying on his resume. O'Leary was an assistant coach for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) from 2002 to 2004, and an assistant coach for the Syracuse Orange and San Diego Chargers. During his twelve-year tenure with the Knights, O'Leary guided the team to the fourth-best turnaround in NCAA history (2005), and led UCF to one of the biggest upsets of the BCS era in the 2014 Fiesta Bowl. Jeffrey Godfrey
Jeffrey Godfrey IV (born January 1, 1992) is a former American football Slotback. Godfrey played for the University of Central Florida Knights. He led the Knights to the Conference USA Championship in his freshman year (2010), becoming the first true freshman quarterback to win an FBS conference championship game. Josh Robinson (cornerback)
Joshua Robinson (born January 8, 1991) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football for the University of Central Florida and earned numerous Freshman All-American honors in 2009. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was also a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Bruce Miller (American Football)
Bruce William Miller III (born August 6, 1987) is a former American football fullback. Miller played college football as a defensive end for the UCF Knights, finishing as the school's career leader in sacks with 35.5. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft and played for them until 2016, when he was released following an arrest for felony assault charges. Justin Dominique McCray (May 31, 1992) is an American football guard for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UCF. Quincy McDuffie (born September 24, 1990) is an American professional Canadian football wide receiver and return specialist who is currently a free agent.
