2010 Tri-Cities Fever Season
The 2010 Tri-Cities Fever season was the team's sixth season as a professional indoor football franchise and first in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-five teams competing in the IFL for the 2010 season, the Kennewick, Washington-based Tri-Cities Fever were members of the Pacific Division of the Intense Conference. Under the leadership of head coach Adam Shackleford, the team played their home games at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington. The Fever lost to the Billings Outlaws 45-54 in the 2010 First Round. Toyota Center (Kennewick)
The Toyota Center is a multi-purpose arena in the northwest United States, located in Kennewick, Washington. Opened in 1988 as the Tri-Cities Coliseum, the arena's name was changed in 2004 to the Three Rivers Coliseum to match the Three Rivers Convention Center, which was built next door in the same year. In October 2005, a deal was reached between the city of Kennewick and Toyota, which agreed to pay $2 million over ten years for naming rights. The city uses the funds for needed improvements and upgrades to the facility. A smaller facility next door, built by the city in 1998, was named "Toyota Arena." In 2016, the Kennewick Public Facilities District will put to the voters an expansion of what is now known as the Three Rivers Complex. ShoWare Center
The accesso ShoWare Center is a multi-purpose arena in Kent, Washington, United States. About the venue The construction of the arena began September 2005, with the venue opening in January 2009. The principal tenants are the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League and the Tacoma Stars of the Major Arena Soccer League. Naming rights to the arena were initially sold to Amiga, Inc. and the arena was to be called the "Amiga Center". However, Amiga failed to make a promised down payment, and lost the naming rights as of August 2007. In November 2008, the Kent City Council announced that the city had sold the naming rights to the Fresno-based VisionOne, Inc., an e-business software developer which in turn named the arena after ShoWare, its flagship box office operations program. 2010 Indoor Football League Season
The 2010 Indoor Football League season was the second season of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The regular season began on Friday, February 26 and ended on Saturday, June 19. In March, the Indoor Football League took control of the Alaska Wild and intended to operate the team until a new owner was found or the season ended. In May, after nine games and no new ownership identified, the team forfeited its remaining home games, played its final road game against Tri-Cities under league auspices, and then ceased operations. Tri-City Herald
The ''Tri-City Herald'' is a daily newspaper based in Kennewick, Washington, United States. Owned by The McClatchy Company, the newspaper serves southeastern Washington state, including the three cities of Kennewick, Pasco and Richland (which are collectively known as the Tri-Cities). The ''Herald'' also serves the smaller cities of Benton City, Connell, Prosser and West Richland. Lionell Singleton (born November 13, 1985) is a former professional indoor football defensive back for the Alabama Vipers and the Tri-Cities Fever. He was signed by the Alabama Vipers as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Florida International. Thyron Lewis (born November 25, 1982) is an American football wide receiver for the Atlanta Havoc of the American Arena League (AAL). He played college football at Howard University and attended William H. Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California. He has also been a member of the Stockton Lightning, Tri-Cities Fever, Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings and Los Angeles KISS. Brandon Copeland (wide Receiver)
Brandon Copeland (born March 31, 1986) is a former American and Arena football wide receiver. He began his football career in college at Bridgewater College for four seasons with the Eagles. In all four of his seasons with the Eagles, Copeland saw significant playing time. In both 2006 and 2007, Copeland played as a starter for the Eagles. After going undrafted in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns called Copeland in to attend the rookie Mini-camp. Following his camp in Cleveland, he would spend time in the 2008 season Arena Football League with the Philadelphia Soul and the Tri-Cities Fever AF2. Tyson Calvin Thompson (born May 21, 1981) is a former American football running back/kick return specialist in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at San Jose State University. Early years Thompson attended Irving High School. As a junior in 1998, he rushed for 525 yards in a single game against L. D. Bell High School (Hurst, Texas), third most in Texas high school history and the most ever by a runner in UIL Class 5A, which at that time housed the state's largest schools. The George M. Sullivan Arena (commonly shortened to the "Sullivan Arena" and often referred to colloquially as "The Sully") is a 6,290 seat arena in Anchorage, Alaska, United States. The 2010 Colorado Ice season was the team's fourth season as a professional indoor football franchise and second in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-five teams that competed in the IFL in the 2010 season, the Fort Collins-based Colorado Ice were members of the United Conference. Founded in 2007 as part of United Indoor Football, the Colorado Ice became charter members of the IFL when the UIF merged with the Intense Football League before the 2009 season. In their fourth season under head coach Collins Sanders, the team played their home games at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado. On April 1, 2010, Thomas Wrigley purchased the team.
