2010 Paris–Roubaix
The 2010 Paris–Roubaix was the 108th running of the Paris–Roubaix single-day cycling race, often known as the ''Hell of the North''. It was held on 11 April 2010 over a distance of and was the ninth event in the inaugural UCI World Ranking series. The race was won by Swiss rider Fabian Cancellara. 2010 UCI World Ranking
The 2010 UCI World Ranking was the second edition of the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2009; the following year it would be merged with the UCI ProTour to form the UCI World Tour. The series started with the Tour Down Under's opening stage on 19 January, and consisted of 13 stage races and 13 one-day races, culminating in the Giro di Lombardia on 16 October. Two new races, the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal were added to the ProTour series, and consequently to the ranking schedule. These two Canadian events, and the Tour Down Under, were the only races in the series to take place outside Europe. Roger Hammond (cyclist)
Roger Hammond (born 30 January 1974) is a male English retired bicycle racer, specialising in cyclo-cross and road cycling. Education Hammond grew up in Chalfont St Peter in Buckinghamshire and attended Dr Challoner's Grammar School as a teenager. While still at school he won the 1992 world junior cyclo-cross championship in Leeds, but elected to concentrate on his university studies before pursuing a cycling career. Cycling career Hammond represented England in the road race event, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He repeated this achievement four years later at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. He was the British road champion in 2003 and 2004. Hayden Roulston
Hayden Roulston (born 10 January 1981, in Ashburton) is a former New Zealand professional racing cyclist. He won the silver medal in the men's 4000 m individual pursuit and a bronze medal in the men's 4000 m team pursuit at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He won the New Zealand road cycling championships on four occasions (2006, 2011, 2013, 2014), the Tour of Southland on three occasions (2006, 2007, 2008) and came tenth in the 2010 edition of Paris - Roubaix. Professional career Roulston was a talented junior rider on both road and track and competed for New Zealand on the track and initially on the road for a club team in France. Sébastien Hinault (born 11 February 1974) is a French former professional road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 1997 and 2014, competing in seventeen Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours. Leif Hoste (born 17 July 1977) is a retired Belgian professional road racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI Professional Continental Team team . Born in Kortrijk, Hoste's career highlights included winning two stages and the overall title at the 2006 Three Days of De Panne, the 2001, 2006 and 2007 Belgian national time trial championships, and a second-place finish at the 2004, 2006 and 2007 one-day classic Tour of Flanders. At the 2006 Paris–Roubaix, after finishing second, Hoste was disqualified by the race jury for illegally riding through a closed level crossing along with Peter Van Petegem and Vladimir Gusev (who were also disqualified). On 29 March 2013, the Belgian cycling federation began a doping case against Hoste. Filippo "Pippo" Pozzato (born 10 September 1981) is an Italian former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2000 and 2018 for the , , , , , , and two spells with the / teams. A northern classics specialist, Pozzato finished in second place at both the 2009 Paris–Roubaix and the 2012 Tour of Flanders.
