Garrett Weber-Gale (born August 6, 1985) is an American competition swimmer, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and world record-holder in two events. Early life Weber-Gale is Jewish, and was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He graduated from Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wisconsin in 2003. He then competed for the Texas Longhorns swimming and diving team of the University of Texas from 2003 to 2007. In 2006, he was the NCAA Division I champion in the 100-yard freestyle. Swimming career Weber-Gale won the 100 and 50-meter freestyles at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in 47.92 and 21.47 seconds respectively. His time of 21.47 in the 50-meter was an American record. Colin Russell (born July 2, 1984) is a Canadian competitive swimmer and freestyle specialist. Russell won a silver medal in the 4x200-metre freestyle relay at the 2005 World Aquatics Championships. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he competed in the 200 metre freestyle (finishing fourteenth), 4x100-metre freestyle relay (finishing sixth), and 4x200-metre freestyle relay (finishing fifth). Brent Matthew Hayden (born October 21, 1983) is a Canadian competitive swimmer. Representing Canada for a decade, Hayden is regarded as the fastest swimmer in Canadian history. Hayden won a bronze medal in the 100 m freestyle at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with a time of 47.80, and was world champion in the same event in 2007 with Filippo Magnini of Italy. Neil Scott Walker (born June 25, 1976) is an American former competition swimmer, four-time Olympic medalist, and former world record-holder in multiple events.
