The 2010 Malaysia Open (badminton), Malaysia Open Super Series was a badminton tournament which took place at Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 19 to 24 January 2010 and had a total purse of $200,000. The 2010 Malaysia Open Super Series was the second tournament of the 2010 BWF Super Series and also part of the Malaysia Open (badminton), Malaysia Open championships, which had been held since 1937. Badminton World Federation
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). In 1981 the IBF merged with the World Badminton Federation, and on 24 September 2006, at the Extraordinary General Meeting in Madrid, the name of the organization was changed to Badminton World Federation (BWF). Chan Yan Kit (, born 10 December 1985) is a badminton player from Hong Kong. He competed at the Asian Games from 2006 to 2014. Career He competed at the 2006 IBF World Championships in men's singles and was defeated in first round by Eric Pang. Joachim Persson
Joachim Persson (born 23 May 1983) is a badminton player from Denmark. Career Persson was born in Denmark but his family moved to Germany in his early years. He began to playing badminton in Trittau, Germany together with his parents. As German player, he helped the German team to win the mixed team title at the 2001 European Junior Championships, also won a silver medal in the singles event. Tan Chun Seang (born 22 August 1986) is a Malaysian badminton player specializing in men's singles. His best achievement was won the Grand Prix title at the 2013 Canada Open by beating Eric Pang in the final. Simon Santoso (born 29 July 1985) is an Indonesian former badminton player. He was two-time Southeast Asian Games men's singles champion winning in 2009 and 2011, also featured in Indonesia team that won the men's team title in 2003, 2007, 2009, and 2011. Chen Jin (born 10 January 1986) is a retired badminton player from China. He is a former world men's singles champion and an Olympic bronze medalist. He also served as women's singles coach of the China national badminton team.
