Elections to Liverpool City Council were held on 6 May 2010. One third of the council was up for election. (30 seats) As Liverpool Council is elected in thirds, councillors elected in the 2006 elections defend their seats this year, and the vote share changes are compared on that basis. Liverpool Wards 2010
Liverpool is a city and metropolitan borough in Merseyside, England. With a population of in 2019, it is the 10th largest English district by population and its metropolitan area is the fifth largest in the United Kingdom, with a population of 2.24 million. On the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary, Liverpool historically lay within the ancient hundred of West Derby in the county of Lancashire.
