2010 Jarama Superleague Formula Round
The 2010 Jarama Superleague Formula round was a Superleague Formula round held on June 20, 2010, at the Circuito del Jarama circuit, Madrid, Spain. It was the second year in a row that Superleague Formula visited the Jarama circuit, and was the first of two races in Spain for 2010. It was the fourth round of the 2010 Superleague Formula season. Eighteen clubs took part including two Spanish clubs: Atlético Madrid and Sevilla FC. Support races included the FIA GT3 European Championship. After hosting events at Circuito de Jerez in 2008 and Circuito del Jarama in 2009, Spain will be hosting two rounds during 2010, the first again to Circuito del Jarama and the second at the newly opened Circuito de Navarra in Los Arcos. Julien Jousse
Julien Jousse (born 21 January 1986 in Les Issambres) is a professional racing driver from France. Career Formula Ford After spending time in karting between 1997 and 2001, Jousse began has circuit racing career in 2002 in the Formula Ford Kent series. In the three races he contested he took three podium finishes, including one race win. In 2003 he moved to the French Formula Ford series, taking a single podium place to finish the year in 9th place. He also took part in the end-of-season Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch, finishing in 17th position. FIA GT3 European Championship
The FIA GT3 European Championship was a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) and regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It was a championship derived from the international FIA GT1 World Championship, but meant to provide competition for more amateur racers in closer to production cars. The series used extensive performance balancing and handicap weights to make cars more equal. Sevilla FC Superleague Formula team was the racing team of Sevilla FC, a football team that competes in Spain in La Liga. The Sevilla FC racing team competed in the Superleague Formula. Atlético de Madrid Superleague Formula team was a motor racing team representing Spain's Atlético Madrid in the Superleague Formula championship. They finished 18th and last in the inaugural championship with driver Andy Soucek, having missed the first round of the season at Donington Park. They participated in the 2009 season with the Dutch-Chinese driver Ho-Pin Tung for the first 3 races. María de Villota replaced him for the last races of the season. 2010 Superleague Formula Season
The 2010 Superleague Formula season was the third Superleague Formula championship. The series was rebranded "Superleague Formula by Sonangol", due to a two-year deal that began in the previous season. The first race of the season was on 4 April at Silverstone and it finished on 24 October at Navarra after a series record of 12 race weekends in all. The series' prize fund was increased to €5 million, with the championship-winning team winning €1 million. Superleague Formula teamed up with The NewsMarket to distribute video content to 25,000 global media outlets in over 190 countries throughout the season. Ex-Formula One and WTCC driver Tiago Monteiro praised Superleague Formula by saying he was "pretty impressed with what they've done so far". R.S.C. Superleague Formula
Superleague Formula was an open wheel single seater motor racing formula, which started in 2008, at Donington Park in the United Kingdom. The league introduced team sponsorship by association football clubs. It used the slogan 'The Beautiful Race: Football at 300 km/h'. By 2011 the link with football was fading with more than half the teams no longer associated with football teams. It was founded by businessmen Alex Andreu and Robin Webb. On 19 May 2010, Andreu stepped down in his role as series president, with Alfredo Brisac named as his successor not many weeks later. The season ran between April and November at the same time as most other European race series. Every team used identical cars and 750-horsepower V-12 engines. The Sonangol Group was the series' title sponsor from June 2009 until the end of the 2010 season. Craig Dolby (born 31 March 1988 in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, England) is a British racing driver. He has raced in Formula Renault series around the world for most of his career, winning the Formula Renault 1.6 Belgium championship in 2006. Franck Montagny (born 5 January 1978) is a retired French professional racing driver. He briefly raced for the Super Aguri Formula One team in 2006. Early career Born in Feurs, Loire, Montagny started racing karts there in 1988, winning the cadet class in the French Karting Championship in 1992, and the National 1 class the following year. The Circuito del Jarama (Circuit of Jarama), formerly known as ''Circuito Permanente del Jarama'' (Permanent circuit of Jarama) is a motorsport racetrack located in San Sebastián de los Reyes, 20 miles (32 km) north of Madrid.
