2010 Jacksonville Jaguars Season
The 2010 Jacksonville Jaguars season was the franchise's 16th season in the National Football League and the 8th under head coach Jack Del Rio. The Jaguars, who were in their second year of "rebuilding" under general manager Gene Smith, improved upon their 7–9 record from 2009, but narrowly missed the playoffs with an 8–8 record. Although blackouts were a problem in 2009 for the franchise, they sold out all of their 2010 home games. AFC South
The American Football Conference – Southern Division or AFC South is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created before the 2002 NFL season, 2002 season when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. Rob Meier
Robert Jack Daniel Meier (born August 29, 1977) is a former American football defensive tackle from Canada. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played college football at Washington State. Early years Meier attended Sentinel Secondary School in British Columbia, Canada and was a letterman in football, basketball, and rugby. In football, as a senior, he was named the team's Offensive MVP, and was also an All-Provincial League selection. Meier graduated from Sentinel Secondary School in 1995. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Tyson Asi Alualu ( ; born May 12, 1987) is an American football nose tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders were a professional American football team that played in Oakland from its founding in 1960 to 1981 and again from 1995 to 2019 before relocating to the Las Vegas metropolitan area where they now play as the Las Vegas Raiders. Quentin Dominic Groves (July 5, 1984 – October 15, 2016) was an American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft and played college football at Auburn.
