2010 International GT Open Season
The 2010 International GT Open season was the fifth season of the International GT Open. The season commenced on 17 April at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, Valencia and finished on 31 October, at Circuit de Catalunya after 16 races held at eight meetings. AF Corse wrapped up three different championships during the season, winning both Super GT titles for drivers Álvaro Barba and Pierre Kaffer as well as the teams title having run as many as five cars during the season. Kaffer and Barba took the overall title by five points ahead of Autorlando Sport's pairing Gianluca Roda and Richard Lietz. A further two points behind were the Edil Cris pairing of Raffaele Giammaria and Enrico Toccacelo, who finished ten points ahead of IMSA Performance's Raymond Narac and Patrick Pilet. International GT Open
The International GT Open is a grand tourer-style sports car racing series founded in 2006 by the Spanish GT Sport Organización. It was a spin-off of the now-defunct Spanish GT Championship, but is now a distinct series featuring FIA GT3-spec cars modified from production road cars. Format The series consists of events in various European countries which feature two races over a weekend. In its first year, the races had an identical format to the Spanish GT Championship, with two 200 km races, the first held on Saturday and the second the following Sunday. Three of the six rounds were joint events for the Open and the Spanish GT Championship. In 2007, the first race, known as ''Pro-Am'', covers approximately 200 km distance, while the second race is 150 km and known as ''GT Open''. Stéphane Ortelli (born 30 March 1970 in Hyères, Var, France) is a Monégasque professional racing driver with three world championship titles. He has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in with Allan McNish and Laurent Aïello and the Spa 24 Hours in 2003 with Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb. He's also won the GT1 Class at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2005 with David Brabham and Darren Turner. Currently, he is an Emil Frey Racing driver competing and developing the Jaguar and Lexus GT racing cars in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the VLN series. Rui Águas (racing Driver)
Rui Sérgio de Almeida Águas (born February 29, 1972 in Nampula, Mozambique) is a Mozambican-born Portuguese race car driver. Águas spent two seasons in Formula 3000, driving for Nordic in 1997 and Auto Sport and Coloni in 1998. He has since moved on to Formula Nissan and Renault Eurocup, before making a name for himself on the GT class, being one of the top contenders of the GT2 category, always at the wheel of a Ferrari. He is currently racing on the International GT Open. He has also, prior to his Formula 3000 days, driven for the Marko, Tomakidis, KMS and GM teams in German Formula Three, and also spent some of 1994 in British Formula Renault Championship, finishing second for Martello Racing. The Ferrari F430 (Type F131) is a sports car produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari from 2004 until 2009 as a successor to the Ferrari 360. The car is an update to the 360 with exterior and performance changes. It was unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. The F430 was succeeded by the 458 which was unveiled on 28 July 2009. Luca Moro (27 February 1973 – 14 March 2014) was an Italian racing driver from Cagliari, Italy. Career Moro was best known for his involvement in sports car racing, especially his participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He drove one of the two Lotus LMP2 cars in 2012 at Le Mans. He had two wins, eight podiums and one pole position in his career, with his last win being with the Hope Polevision Racing team at the 2010 1000 km of Spa. Motorsport.tv was a pan-European digital television channel dedicated to motorsport. It ceased broadcasting in late September 2018 to concentrate on web-streaming only. The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (), frequently referred to as ''Spa'', is a motor-racing circuit located in Stavelot, Belgium. It is the current venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix, hosting its first Grand Prix in 1925, and has held a Grand Prix every year since 1985 (except 2003 and 2006). Spa also hosts several other international events including the 24 Hours of Spa, the World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
