The 2010 Indonesian Community Shield was the second edition of the Indonesian Community Shield. It was a match played by the 2009–10 Indonesia Super League winners Arema Indonesia and 2010 Piala Indonesia winners Sriwijaya FC. Arema Football Club is an Indonesian professional football club based in Malang, East Java. The club competes in the Liga 1, the top flight of Indonesian Football. History The fabled origin of Arema's name The name Arema refers to a legendary figure in Malang folklore called Kebo Arema who was a knight in King Kertanegara of Singhasari's court when the latter ruled the kingdom in the 13th century. The kingdom's name relates to the contemporary Singosari district of Malang Regency, located a few miles north of Malang city. According to the folklore song of Panji Wijayakrama, Kebo Arema quashed a revolt by Kelana Bhayangkara until all the rebels were crushed like leaves eaten by caterpillars. Achmad Kurniawan
Achmad Kurniawan (31 October 1979 – 10 January 2017) was an Indonesian footballer, who played for Arema Cronus in the Indonesia Super League as a goal keeper. He is also the older brother of goal keeper Kurnia Meiga. On 29 December 2016, Kurniawan was treated in an intensive care unit following a heart attack and going into a coma. Noh Alam Shah
Mohd Noh Alam Shah (born 3 September 1980) is a retired professional football player from Singapore who currently manages Tanjong Pagar United. Once regarded as one of the best forwards in South East Asia, Alam Shah was a member of the Singapore national football team when it won the AFF Championship in 2005 and 2007. At club level, he was a member of the Tampines Rovers team which won Singapore's S.League in 2004 and 2005. Alam Shah is also well known for his volatile temper, which got him into trouble on a number of occasions. An incident of violent conduct when he knocked another player unconscious while playing for Tampines Rovers in the 2007 Singapore Cup final led to a 12-month ban from playing club-level football.
